Leaving freezing Scotland to arriving in the warm embrace of Mama ...... wow what an experience and definitely not to be missed!

From the moment you arrive, absolutely safely, the home of Mama does not disappoint. The food is tasty and enjoyable, the entertainment by the children enchanting, the story of Mama’s life enthralling, basically a full and wonderful evening .

Thank you again Mama for allowing us in your home.

Mzansi's is a fantastic place for a night out, run by an inspirational woman. We experienced a few raised eyebrows when Capetonians discovered we were going to Mzansi's - with four kids in tow, but we had a fabulous evening. We took an Uber in and out (although they have people to watch the parked cars) and felt safe throughout in the township location. The food was delicious, and the buffet style meant the kids could pick and choose (although they pretty much ate everything) - be sure to try the spinach with mushrooms and Malva pudding! What really made the evening was the music from an amazingly talented group of people - we were all up and dancing. A truly special experience.

Had a great time at mama’s house. We really enjoyed the dinner there and the musical performances that the family put on. This is a must do in Cape Town!

Ignore anyone who tries to dissuade you from this experience. There is a reason this is voted #1.

It is a special and unique chance to meet not only Mama and her wonderful family but also to interact and learn about a whole community. Absolutely safe, with the backing and support of the whole area, this is definitely family-friendly. We took an Uber there and a shuttle back but could easily have driven (many did). This place will serve up amazing food, a chance to hear some wonderful stories, and a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, as well as a live band!

I cannot encourage you enough to do this and am willing to bet you won’t regret it if you do.

Reservations are a must as everything is done fresh and sourced locally.
