We went there for dinner 2 Jan whilst on honeymoon. The food was lovely and based on local recipes. It’s a buffet service but very veggie and gluten free friendly. 14 people cancelled that night due to fears about it being unsafe which was such a shame. The place is very safe and we got an uber there and back from central Capetown. The story of the place is inspirational and I wish everyone involved all the luck in the world!

If you are thinking of going then do so but please don’t cancel and leave them in the lurch. If you really feel unsure if someone tells you it’s not safe (which it is) then have the courtesy to call and cancel well ahead of time.

If you are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary, this is the place. Wonderful welcome & ambience, offering superb, home cooked authentic South African food.
This experience of eating in a township restaurant is not to be missed. The musicians and storytelling were fabulous, making this an all round amazing experience, not just a meal. An absolute Cape Town highlight. Book in advance. Wishing Mzansi’s a Happy & prosperous New Year!

We arrived here in the Townships and very firstly a bit scared due to a ceremony on the street, but the staff was amazing in convincing us about the safeness of this place and at the end we're as so grateful! In one word... Amazing!

The show, the food, the dessert and the stories was all an unique and very special experience!
