Lovely boutique hotel in the gardens area of Cape Town, 5 minutes walk to restaurants on upper kloof street. 10-15 minutes walk would take you to dozens of great restaurants.

Staff were really accommodating particularly Nadine with whom we had most contact. She was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and bookings as well as helping with trips.

The grounds and pool area are small but nice and adequate for the limited downtime you are likely to have.

Breakfast was very nice with a buffet and various cooked items, the only slight negative is a lack of coffee options when we tried to order a latte which should be quite standard these days.

The rooms were comfortable and well maintained.

A nice touch was when they left chocolates and wine for a special occasion.

One thing we would say is that in a lot of other hotels we have stayed in South Africa, they have had complimentary Sundowners where it gives you the chance to interact with other guests and the hotel staff. It would also mean you would get the chance to enjoy the lovely main part of the house which we were never really in. Think it would just add an extra dimension.

All in all a very nice hotel with very helpful staff. If it’s your first time in Cape Town and you don’t want a large corporate hotel you would do well to pick here as a base.

My husband and I spent four nights here on an extended vacation to Africa. The hotel is lovely, with attention given to even the smallest details of the decor and room design. It was so comfortable and warm. We so enjoyed the surroundings, from the elegant guest room to the sunny breakfast nook to the cozy main living area. It is all elegant, warm, and welcoming. Jade and Nadine will help you organize any trip, outing, or reservation, and are a wealth of knowledge. They have a great repertoire of guides and suggestions and will not steer you wrong. We felt absolutely pampered and truly enjoyed the stay. Breakfast is delicious and very generous and always fresh. The central location is a plus. We walked to the waterfront and central Cape Town and easily Ubered anywhere we didn't want to walk. Highly recommend!

Stayed seven nights at this fantastic hotel. Location for major attractions in Cape Town was great - we used taxis to get ab out which were very cheap, quick and easy to book. Staff were all wonderful - Jade and Nadine, who we had most contact with, were extremely helpful and suggested places to visit and eat and also made bookings and reservations for us. Thanks everyone for a great stay and visit to Cape Town.

Having never been to South Africa, my wife and I arrived at Four Rosmead the day prior to her birthday, we were also celebrating my 50th. This was the first leg of our trip through South Africa and what an amazing first impression we were given by all the staff at Four Rosmead, from ensuring we were booked into the best recommend restaurants to helpful hints re table mountain, robben island and other attractions. The guest house itself was perfect beautiful room, excellent breakfast and staff who did a great rendition of happy birthday for Angela at breakfast. We could not fault any of the facilities and we were so glad we did not go to one of the larger hotel chains at V & A waterfront. Thank you once again to all staff.

My husband and I visited South Africa for the first time in Jan 2020. Our first half of the trip was spent in Cape Town, where we stayed at Four Rosmead. WOW! What an experience. I was the most beautiful, intimate setting, and the service was TOP NOTCH. The staff provided great one-on-one attention to all of the guests. We didn't have any excursions booked before getting to Cape Town, but Four Rosmead got us all set up once we got there. They showed a genuine interest in finding the best tours/excursions for each guest!
I cannot rave enough about Four Rosmead!!!
