Beautiful, bed very comfy and big shower was dreamy. Very central yet also still nice and quiet and peaceful. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was divine, plenty to chose from and the staff are always ready to help with anything that is needed. very organised for the breakfast rush.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights mid June. From start to finish our stay was first class. Three Boutiques is a quaint yet fully equipped venue to give a thoroughly enjoyable vacation experience. Homely atmosphere but with all the amenities.
Our room on the ground floor was spacious and we had easy access to the roof top terrace with its magnificent panoramic view of Table Mountain and Lions Head Hill. Located in a quiet residential area the hotel is ideally placed for a walk or short ride to the Waterfront.
Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay here again when next in Cape Town. Des the manager and her team even arranged to courier my glasses to me which I’d left in the room to my next destination!

I booked last minute (night before arrival) on a third party online site (agoda). I had payed in full for a non cancellation booking. I arrived sat morning and received an email message that there had been a system error and no availability at 3 boutique hotel for first night. I didn't receive a call or anything communicating this. I was very disappointed as I specifically chose the quiet hotel with historical architecture etc. I was told to move to kloof street hotel in town (sister hotel). Initially I thought of canceling the whole booking but being the Cape Town cycle tour most similar priced accomodation was fully booked. I had to liase with a reservation agent natalie/ natasha (forget the name). Kloof Street hotel is not bad but albeit not the same level/ quality and cheaper establishment. There were a lot of bars and night clubs around and a younger hip slightly rowdy crowd. Parking was very tight space wise and had a weird unpleasant odour in the garage. The reception lady wanted to charge me R100 extra for parking even though hotel made booking error and complimentary parking was included. Kloof street was clean had a decent breakfast but quite a noisy area and definitely not what I booked.

Day 2 I got transferred back to 3 boutique. This is a beautiful property. I was upgraded to 1 bedroom self catering room. Ambience great and quiet. Beautiful pool and deck with views of devils peak, table mountain and lions head. The receptionist luvuyo and manager Desiree were very friendly. Breakfast was of a superb quality included 2 cooked items pancakes, and eggs beneddict. The hotel prepared a nice packed breakfast at 4 am one day. The crowd at this establishment were quieter and older folk. Hotel is walking distance from gardens centre and in a pretty surburb with lots of Victorian houses. Most cape town sites were easily reachable in 10 mins by car/ uber. One thing that slightly spoilt ambience was a venter trailer with slight rusting outside my rooms bay window. I assume this had something to do with repair work being done.

I had an issue with my phone charger and reception staff gladly tried to assist and printed maps for me as my phone had died.

What started off as a very disappointing experience became a thoroughly satisfying one due to a wonderful hotel and friendly staff. Please correct online booking system to prevent this in future. Not sure if issue was with hotel or agoda. I have travelled extensively and this was the first time such an issue occurred. Also if issues happen, this should be timeously communicated telephonically and not on arrival. It would have been nice to have an in person apology from management and possibly a voucher or some recompense for the disappointing mix up. I guess the room upgrade was a small consolation.

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your recent experience with us. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the booking mix-up and subsequent changes.

We must apologise for the inconvenience caused by the system error on Agoda. It's disappointing to hear that this initial hiccup marred the beginning of your stay in Cape Town and we understand the frustration of not receiving timely communication about the issue.

While you found Kloof Street Hotel to be clean and the breakfast good, we’re sorry that it didn't meet the expectations you had for your stay and sincerely understand your frustrations here.

It’s great to hear that upon your return to Three Boutique Hotel, you found your upgraded room to your liking and you had a lovely time with us. Your satisfaction is paramount, and we're glad that we could provide a small consolation with the room upgrade.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the future and providing you with a seamless and memorable experience.

Warm regards,
Three Boutique Hotel

I can’t say that I was blown away my six-night stay at the Three Boutique Hotel. I frequently come to Cape Town and prefer to stay in the Oranjezicht area. I doubt that I would return.

Various issues:
1. Room was not clean on arrival. Housekeeping was called and issues pointed out.
2. The courtyard outside room 16 was not swept until the next day. There were many leaves.
3. There was a water pressure issue on Tuesday. Water was switched off on Wednesday.
4. Fridge did not work in room 16 for the duration of my stay.
5. On the Thursday night I returned home – it was rainy – there was a puddle on the carpet as I stepped inside. I reported this Friday morning. It was not attended to during the day and when I raised this with the front desk they wanted to move me to another room upstairs at 5.30pm which was very inconvenient as I needed to leave. I started moving items upstairs but needed to leave so housekeeping transferred my items – to room 2 downstairs.
6. Housekeeping broke my shampoo bottle but didn’t report this to me. They just cleaned it up and I no longer had shampoo.

What is good:
1. There is an unbelievable view from the top deck – reception won’t tell you about it though.
2. The breakfasts and the position of the guest house are excellent. It’s very charming.
3. The rooms are well appointed.

I sent this two different email addresses prior to posting here. No response from the establishment. I think this tells you what you need to know.

We ADORED The Three Boutique Hotel. Rooms were nice & clean. Great bed & bathroom. Nice balcony to enjoy my morning coffee. In the safe Garden District, but still, they have a security gate. Very quite at night. Breakfast every morning was scrumptious! But the best part of Three Boutique are the people & staff. Everyone was so very nice and cheerful. They made us feel like family
