We were warmly welcomed by the eager team in front of the elegant façade. The bold “black and white” historic building showcases a dramatic contemporary interior - reminiscent in texture and fabric of the splendour of a bygone era. Drinks and afternoon canapés served in the lounge, eased us into a tranquil mood – enhanced by pool fountain in the background.

Our magnificent room was a calm oasis where one could enjoy the evening sky of the Mothercity. Here we rewound further, enjoying the quality white linen and accompanying comforts. After a night’s rest, we savoured on the vast breakfast buffet, complete with honeycomb in beehive frame. We treasured the amuse bouche, the freshly brewed coffees, the superb hot breakfasts. Service was attentive and appeasing. When we finally departed, it was with sweet memories and a brightly coloured macaroons.

Ideal for those seeking an exceptional and chic hotel in the city.

We stayed at the Cape Cadogan for five nights. We had made a reservation for an apartment at their other property, Moor Quarters. After some initial confusion and room changing, the management was very responsive in finding a beautiful room with a terrace and a great view in the Cape Cadogan. The room was large and beautifully appointed. The room was very quiet during the week nights, but louder in the weekend when we heard the crowd at the local bar down the street.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable about the activities and dining in the city. We had breakfast each morning in the dining room. The food and service was great. The common areas including the lobby and patio were beautiful. We would definitely stay at the Cape Cadogan again.

We stayed at the Cape Cadogan for 3 nights in November 2014 at the start of our honeymoon, at what a fabulous start to our trip it was. The hotel is in a safe neighbourhood and fairly centrally located I.e within walking distance of downtown Cape Town, some lovely restaurants and bars, and not far from the sightseeing Red bus route stops.

We stayed in a luxury room and I'm pleased we did, as it was beautiful with clean white lines, plenty of space and an amazing bathroom with both a huge walk in shower and a jacuzzi bath. It was that bit of luxury we were looking for after a long days sightseeing.

The staff at this hotel are also fantastic. They offer great service, advice, and are more than happy to book trips and restaurants for you if you ask. They honestly couldn't have done more for us. But what really makes this hotel special is the finer detail and smaller touches such as...

A turn down service where they leave water and biscuits, sweets, chocolates etc.
Every night the canapés and drinks (honesty bar) that are served in the lounge
The free shuttle to the waterfront and no problems getting on it as they hotel was small
The fact that the staff went out of their way to find us a roadmap when our hire car arrived and direct us to our next location

As it was our honeymoon we also came back on our first night to our room redecorated with rose petals, lit with candles and with a complimentary bottle of champagne already on ice.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and if we are ever in Cape Town again it would definitely be our choice.
