We ate here one morning for breakfast enroute to the robben Island ferry & on 2 consecutive nights as it was within walking distance of our hotel & we were really happy with our first experience here. For breakfast, we tried the eggs Benedict (72 rand) & full breakfast (74 rand) washed down with 2 x Americanos (22 each), all very good & well portioned.
We sampled multiple tapas over the two nights: pork belly (79 rand); Spanish garlic mushrooms (70 rand); homemade chorizo (68 rand); salt & pepper fried calamari (69 rand); beef fillet (89 rand); patatas bravas (35 rand) & churros & chocolate (55 rand). We were a little disappointed with the pork belly but the rest were extremely tasty. We also tried the cocktails: passionfruit G&T, frozen passionfruit sorbet, strawberry mojito, pina colada & cape negroni (ranged in price from 55-65 rand). I would really like to see the portions increase a little then it would be really worth the city prices. Overall, very good staff, great vibes, very good breakfasts, tasty tapas & cracking cocktails ensured repeat business from us. I would really recommend this place if in the area!!

We had tapas here and actually the food was very tasty.

It was packed with people and the music was very loud but the food was good as was the service. The tapas 'small plates' were not that small. Good value therefore but A LOT of food.

Also they were out of pork belly, and croquettes and something else, all of which we found out after we ordered. We also got delivered the wrong food.

I can forgive these oversights as it tasted good and he waiter was both friendly and apologetic.

We had the following all of which were nice

The steak
The mushrooms
The octopus
The salt and pepper fried calamari
The tuna
Chorizo sausage
House salad

Id have no problems recommending them all

Would definitely return

Thank bigrup

Let us start with the good. A friendly doorman that made us feel very welcome. Fantastic waiter. Great vibe and ambiance. Loved the setting. We ordered a variety of tapas and all of them were good. Especially the beef. Perfectly done and tender. My cocktail was average. Dessert was excellent. Now the not so good. Portions are quite small, so you need to order quite a few. The bill at the end of the meal was quite hefty considering that we were not really 'full'. Wonderful experience but definitely a once off.

Great vibe, great tasting tapas and delicious churros! Great for a fun night out. Rating on tapas: tuna was average and had a bit much going on, calamari cooked to perfection, broccoli with chimmichurri is an absolute hit! beef chin croquettas is amazing and the churros are simply the best!

We have been here a couple of times. Always enjoyed. But last time we 've been very unlucky with the waiter. Got the wrong wine; finally we got the correct one - bottle was already open. We spent around 1.000 Rand but his whole attitude was dreadful. Kitchen staff did a really great job and saved our evening.

Thank Christian E
