We went up in the cable car and it was a fun experience - once we'd gotten through the lines of people! It took us almost an hour to get into the car, and the ride itself was only around 4 minutes, but the views are truly amazing - the floor rotates, so you get to see the whole 360 degree view - aim to get to a window and hold your ground as people may instinctively try to move against the movement of the floor at the start.

Once at the top, the mountain was great too, especially at sunset, but I'd definitely recommend a warm top as queueing in the wind is not fun!

After 3 days being shut, we were lucky to be able to get on the cableway on our last day. Very busy and you do have to queue but it is worth it for the spectacular views. Note that you can buy tickets online when you get there using their wifi. This speeds up your queuing time.

On a scorching day with full clear skies we took the hop on hop off bus to the lower cable car station late morning . The queues for tickets were huge that day and we would recommend buying tickets in advance as this would speed up getting a car. The views were lovely though and so we happily queued fir 2 hours before taking the cable car up which turns around on its axis so everybody gets the views . It’s an amazingly steep and dramatic ascent and the panoramas at the top are staggering. It’s busy but if you take one of the walks you can get away from crowds and it’s well worth the visit.

Was really fun going up the mountain via the cable car...the cable car houses about 65 to 100 persons & it takes less that 6 minutes to get up the mountain. was a sorry experience for me hiking down the mountain which i wont encourage any to engage in.

My take is go with he cable car up the mountain & go back via the cable car to avoid stories that touches the heart
