Stayed with my family. Lovely hotel with a great vibe and beautiful open courtyard for dining.
Staff were fantastic. They could not have been more helpful of friendlier. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cape Town.

Lovely hotel with excellent, friendly and helpful staff. They arranged transportation to the theatre for me, fixed a problem with my Booking.com reservation. The room was lovely and the Sunday Jazz Brunch (extra) was fabulous. The Red tour bus passes right in front of the hotel, which faces the beach promenade. Free shuttle to the V&A waterfront, but you'll need to book. If you have a ground floor room, it's definitely noisy from 5-7. when their is live music in the courtyard (at least the two nights I was there).

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard will hear the music that plays in the evening (may just be a weekend thing, which is when I was there).

Thank you for taking the time to rate our hotel and for your feedback. We are very pleased you enjoyed your time with us and that you got to experience our legendary Sunday Jazz Brunch. Our staff are always willing to assist our guests as much as they possibly can and I am pleased to see that they were able to help you. Please do accept our apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused you due to the live music, this does occur twice a week in our Summer months. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Excellent localization, breakfast and rooms. The parking lot is small, so if you intended to park the car should ask by the time that you are booking. It is very close to the Waterfront, about 10 minutes by car.

Room Tip: The room is not big, but well furnitured and confortable.

This is an old fashioned hotel in colonial style. We had a suite to the main road (along waterfront) but it was not noisy. The room was spacious, bathroom, too. Clean and proper. At the reception the staff was very friendly, polite and helpful all the time. The hotel's restaurant is mid range; one should better choose a better rated one direction downtown. Breakfast was included ; large opulent buffet bar where you can do side orders like omelet or eggs sunny side up or scrambled. The bar opens until late night, attached is a veranda provided with seats and small tables. Bar rush our is when checking in/out in the late morning or in the evening before dinner. - The public service bus station is in front of the hotel; very convenient if you go sightseeing. Take the "Red City Bus"! The walled parking lot offers only a few car spaces.

The suite we stayed in need of refurbishment other than that absolutely 5 star. The staff, breakfast and courtyard as well as location could not have been improved. The owner should make sure he holds on to Happy, Linda, Ian and the rest of crew for making our stay so memorable.

Room Tip: Sea View was fantastic.

Thank you for this kind rating and wonderful feedback. Thank you for mentioning our staff by name, we are incredibly lucky to work with such lovely people. We have just completed a soft refurbishment in all of our bedroom;, we still have to place one or two new items into a few rooms, unfortunately that seems to have been one of the rooms you stayed in. Please do accept our apologies for any inconvenience we may have caused. We do hope you will visit us again in the near future.
