We stayed at the V&A for three nights at the start of our honeymoon in April. The room was lovely with an amazing view our over the harbour and table mountain (once the clouds cleared!) and they helped my husband to arrange flowers and champagne waiting for us on arrival.
All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious every morning, they also helped us to arrange a brilliant day trip to the Vineyards.
Highly recommended :)

Congratulations once again to the happy couple and thank you very much for sharing your fantastic experience at our hotel. We enjoy every minute of taking care of our guests and this is testament to the unique and genuine hospitality our team receives accolades for. This was my second stay and I think the hotel is still hard to beat when it comes to location. Unlike last year I had now view of the harbor (booked too late and it was Easter). Fears about potential noise were unfounded as the various bands performing along the river front pack up early.

Rooms are still spotless and the breakfast is great (Oysters anyone?).

However, the WiFi still sucks, even just downloading e-mails was an exercise in frustration. TV is also somewhat limited, especially for someone coming from Cambodia where even 20-Dollar guesthouses have 100+ channels; 9 channels just do not cut it in this time and age.

Service at breakfast still is a little hit-and-miss; some staff have a habit of gathering in a corner and chat instead of replenishing the buffet or asking if guests want a coffee.

A special mention of the elderly gentleman working as a concierge, he was ace.

So yes, I would stay again but just wished they could ramp up the service in some areas a little.

Room tip: Second floor with view of Table Mountain.

Thank you kindly for your review. We are grateful you could share this and in particular are very happy you enjoyed our location, rooms and world class breakfast. You would be happy to know that we are shortly embarking on an upgrade program which will see the introduction of a brand new restaurant and expanded lobby and reception area. All in all an upgrade of guest experience.
We look forward to seeing you again.

we have visited cape town plenty of times and stayed all around CT... this time we only had 3 days because of business visit to CT convention center Dekorex... didnt want to hire a car with the parking problems etc. so we decided to stay at 15 min walking distance from the exhibition centre.. worked out well... the hotel states it is 5* but i reckon it is a 4 * star... the rooms (we had the less expensive on top floor Loft..) are comfortable with nice size bathroom.... tv.. well stocked minibar and comfortable bed.. no complaints.. difference with 5 * : no slippers, we run out of toothpaste and asked room service.. they delivered but we had to pay.. they have nice 24 hr room service delivery .. in essence a good stay at a great location in front of my fav Belgian resto: Den Anker where you can try all kind of Belgian beers with a great menu.. recommend the "mussels and frites".. 1 kg of black mussels in white wine sauce or other preparations together with never matched belgian made "chips" or frites: double fried and crispy...

Located in the middle of the action on the harbor. Very very nice. Pool was located in another building so didn't get there. Felt very safe at all times. Breakfast out front on the wharf was delightful.

Had a 3 day stay here, the location in the middle of the new waterfront area is great, close to all the restaurants and attractions, only 100m from the aquarium and Hop On/Hop Off bus stop.

Rooms were spacious, well appointed. Staff were very friendly.

Room tip: Table Mountain view rooms have a spectacular view, and are quieter.
