This was our first stop on a trip to the Garden Route and it was brilliant. The hotel is in a fantastic location - walkable to Long St, Kloof St, Bo Kaap and a short journey to the V&A and other parts of Cape Town. Rooms were lovely and the staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for us and were really friendly - special shout out to Peter who recommended and booked 2 restaurants for us that were within walking distance and fab. My only small gripe is the sound proofing in the rooms. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear everything going on outside, so much so that I needed ear plugs to sleep. Triple glazing on the windows might help? We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again when in Cape Town - but would try and get a room on the higher floors :-)

Room Tip: See my review but try a room on the higher floors

A small hotel in a good location it's worth paying that little bit more for a fabulous view. Friendly and efficient staff, clean and well furnished. Bathroom is compact without bath but an adequate sized shower. Bathrobes are provided and they are of good quality and good breakfast in a light and airy restaurant

Well, maybe the the erratic(slow)internet service but otherwise it was a superb one week stay. Our deluxe double room overlooked the street and Company Gardens, affording a stunning view of Table Mountain. We were not bothered by any exterior noises and in fact were pleased to be able to open the windows. The location is fantastic (we stayed here in 2015 so a deliberate repeat choice). Breakfasts were first rate - we even bought several packages of the custom in-house muesli. Staff were excellent, especially front desk and dining room and I was particularly grateful to S'bongile for her assistance in printing our boarding passes. Notwithstanding the many recommended restaurants in the area, we thoroughly enjoyed our occasional evening meals at the hotel. This boutique hotel would be our first choice should we be fortunate enough to visit Cape Town again.

Just returned to the UK today after staying 6 nights in the hotel. The location is great, across from Company Gardens and round the corner from Long Street. The hotel offers several free shuttles to and from the V&A Waterfront. The drivers were always there and on time. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the couple of times we ate dinner in the restaurant the food and presentation were of a high quality. Would recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is ideal. Right next to the city centre and withon easy access to the main city entrance.
It is also situated in a relatively quiet area, although it is not advisable to wonder around during the evening.

The rooms are spacious and very clean.
The standard rooms face the back alley and do not have a nice view. I would propose to pay the extra amount and rent a room with a voew to the table mountain...

Nice breakfast with good ingredients.
