Unforgettable

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Aug 2017
Cape Town Hollow Hotel has an excellent location and our room had an amazing view of Table Mountain! The front desk staff was always friendly, wonderful, and helpful in accommodating our requests. The free shuttle bus to and from V&A waterfront was always punctual and very convenient. The restaurant staff was very attentive and the breakfast was great!
Thanks to Madi (from Wild Wings Safari) and the Cape Town Hollow staff for a wonderful experience!

Our party of 6 stayed here twice on our recent visit to South Africa. On both occasions our rooms were perfect and the service was very friendly and efficient. We pre arranged our airport transfers before leaving the UK and the driver was waiting for us as we came through arrivals. Breakfast was very good with a choice of hot and cold food and the evening meal in the restaurant was also very good. It has a great location for the town centre, gardens and planetarium and the hotel runs a free shuttle to the waterfront. What is there not to like?

Room tip: Ask for a view of Table Mountain

Nice hotel, unaccomidating with information. This hotel needs a concierge! Certainly not problem solvers. Nice room. Cozy. Breakfast should be open earlier for all those taking day trips.....ie sharks, safari

We stayed here for 4 nights with a room overlooking the mountain. Great location for the gardens, cafes and bars. We made full use of the free shuttle bus running to/from V&A Waterfront both in the daytime and evening - it really is just a little too far to walk routinely anyway, although we did do in once. I had a minor maintenance issue with the bathroom and reported it at breakfast, went out and it was fixed by the time I returned at lunch. Very happy to have stayed here and would not hesitate to use them again.

Room tip: Ask for a mountain view if available

My daughter and best friend recently spent a night at this wonderful establishment as she wanted to wake up in a hotel for her 18th birthday. From the initial booking request handled by manager Willem du Toit, to the efficient reservations team and then the wonderful reception crew, she was treated like a princess. The room was immaculate, beautiful and comfy, the views spectacular and the breakfast scrumptious. The entire experience was worthy of far more than 5 stars. Thank you again, Cape Town Hollow.

I stayed here whilst at a conference recently and really enjoyed it. The hotel was further away from the Conference centre than where many of my colleagues were staying but I enjoyed the walk. The hotel was very welcoming. My room was bright and clean and the food in the restaurant was very good. Food was also good value (compared to what we would pay in a similar standard of hotel in the U.K.).
One of the best things is the location. The Company Gardens are very nice and contain a lovely cafe for lunches or coffee. It is also within easy walking distance of a lot of central sights and the City Sight Seeing bus tour shop at 81 Long Street... so it was easy to see quite a lot of Cape Town in he small gaps between conference activity.
