Visiting Cape Town is not the same unless we stay at The Peninsula. Not only is it in the greatest of locations but we feel at home there, plus it helps that the staff are excellent and have been for the 10+ years we have been coming here.
It is easy to get to and Sea Point is a lovely place to stay (great sunsets which all rooms can view!) the staff will be on hand to help you get around if needed and there is also a shuttle bus. A secure car park is available for a small charge.
Last time we visited they were still finishing off the new restaurant Strolla so this month we got to see it up and working - great menu and setting whether you are staying or just popping by.
A great bar, ask Lawrence to make you a mojito - seriously the best I have ever had! I can happily leave my dad knowing he is safe and being well looked after.
They are constantly improving the look of the place but its main attraction is the feel of it and the staff. We feel so comfortable there and I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: go as high a floor as possible to get the best sunset view

We went to stay at the peninsula for two and a half weeks for our honeymoon and have been back again and have booked to go again this year. You go on holiday but feel like you are at home. Caroline on reception with the rest of her team are outstanding and the two ladies on customer relations are out of this world. They make the stay feel like the best place on earth and will do anything to make your stay the best time. I know that despite living in London I will be going there every year from now on. This is a place not to miss out on. Thanks to Abdul, Caroline, Bryn, Herman and the rest of the team for making this the best place

This is a hotel you would love to visit. The perfect location which is within walking distance of public transport, shops, restaurants, etc.

The rooms are very spacious and coming with teenagers, yes the internet connectivity was extremely good.

Our only challenge was to arrange for a late book out that is a service offered by the hotel. The hotel levies you at R 100 per hour for late check out which is very reasonable.

Unfortunately we were refused to make use of a 2 hour extension on our day of check pout when request was posed to the Bahiya, the manager on duty.

Room Tip: The higher your floor, the better your view over the Ocean

We booked this weekend as part of a longer holiday in Cape Town quite a while ago. We booked a studio apartment but was upgraded to a 6-sleeper. That already was a bonus. It is a very comfortable clean and modern establishment. Staff members are very friendly and considerate. We accidently left the lights of our rental on and they phoned to alert us. The Peninsula is very central to various trips which we undertook eg. the blue bus - stop no 9 on the route is about 50 metres from the back entrance. You won't be sorry if you book a stay with the Peninsula.

Booked for a week at The Peninsula, enjoyed the stay there. Couple of drawbacks; main bedroom large, but on corridor which was noisy thru the night with passing guests. Second bedroom and kitchen a bit cramped. We were on first floor, needed to keep security grill locked as acess from the balcony. Other than above room was fine. Disappointed to see hotel allowed guests to bring and eat takeaways in the foyer / lounge of the hotel. Suite is self catering, so location close to shops on Main Rd. was useful (walking distance). Also numerous resturants in the area so should suit all tastes. Shuttle service to various locations around Cape Town (Waterfront, Table Mountain etc). Pleaseant, helpful staff who arranged our trip up the mountain. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Can recommend for families.

Room Tip: avoid bedrooms on corridor as guest are noisy thru the night.
