My friend and I had the privilege of staying at the Table Bay Hotel October 14 thru 20. It was one of the best hotel experiences that I ever had. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very spacious, well decorated, and clean. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. This hotel is on the V&A Waterfront so it is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The hotel is also attached to a very nice mall. Although this is a beautiful hotel in a great location, it is the staff (bellhop, concierge, front desk attendants, waitresses, waiters, housekeepers) that truly made our stay a great experience.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Table Bay Hotel and were glad we did. The location worked for us on several levels. First, the sea and harbor view from our room was just what we hope for on vacation; second, it was right on the V&A waterfront with it's many restaurants and attractions; third, there was a large upscale mall attached to the hotel, making for good shopping (we found toiletries and other small items that we didn't want to bring over in our luggage). On top of that we had an excellent breakfast buffet included in the room rate.

My only advice for travelers is to be aware that it is a large hotel and, therefore, may host large tour groups. On our last 2 days , several large busses arrived with tour groups. We noticed that the breakfast area was noisier and more crowded than it had been. We were glad that for most of our stay the hotel was filled with couples and very small groups.

Stayed at this hotel for a 3 day wind down after a hectic 20 day tour of South Africa with a Saga tour. Located next door to an upmarket shopping mall (beware fellas!) in the Waterfront area of Cape Town. Great views of Table Mountain, close to hop on bus tours of the area and the ferry to visit Robben Island. Great food in 2 restaurants and not expensive either. We had a 3 course meal for 2, a double nightcap for 3 nights for us both and our bill was only about £60 for the lot. Wifi works really well in the rooms which are big and luxurious. Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Rooms facing north get best seaviews, but all the rooms have a good view anyway.

We have a corner suite with a view of the ocean on one side and Table Mountain on the other. It was like a fairy tale! The service at the hotel was fantastic, the spa was fantastic, the food was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 5 star experience!

Room Tip: Don't choose an ocean front room, the view of Table Mountain and the port is fantastic.

This is a large hotel right on the V&A waterfront. It is attached to a mall. Good workout room and spa area on first floor. Had a nice massage. There are many good restaurants in the area and it is a fun area to shop and walk around particularly on Saturdays. The afternoon tea was very nice. It was traditional with a twist; many of the sandwiches had a Indian-Malay influence. There were courses of different teas and all the desserts you could wish. The breakfast buffet was very large; it included homemade Belgian waffles, there were Japanese dishes, South African dishes as well as various juices. The hotel is business oriented so if you want quaint, this is not for you.
