I recently had dinner at The Nellie, and Musa was our waiter - he provided exceptional service that truly stood out! I wanted to acknowledge his outstanding professionalism and hospitality, as he exceeded our expectations.
I’m unsure of the best way to formally commend him, but I felt it was important to highlight his excellent work.

Stayed here for three nights to cap off a safari tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a Junior Suite which was enormous and beautiful. Dinner at the Red Room was excellent and the tours -- one of Cape Point and one of the Wine Country with Jarat Tours -- were fabulous!

Having travelled all over the world, I can confidently say my two-night stay at Mount Nelson (the culmination of my partner's 50th birthday celebration) was close to if not the best hotel experience I've had. While the property is beautiful and steeped in history (and beautiful art), mainly and especially it was the MN team. If you're coming to Cape Town for something special, stay with this team.
Crystal, Alexander and the reception team took great care to welcome us right from the start, even though we rushed them to run out the door for a tour. When we returned, Crystal picked right up where we left off, complete with glass of bubbly, so we didn't miss a thing.
Nyelle at the Planet Bar was so, so welcoming and hospitable, giving us dining tips and Gin recommendations, and did an amazing job balancing conversation while letting us play Uno over martinis.
William gave us a fabulous final delicious meal (we were not expecting amazing curry and roti this far from home), and to top it all off, Bathabile came by the table at the end to ensure our airport transfer was arranged and give us a personal goodbye (since she would be gone in the morning), and to top it off, remembered it was my partner's bithday celebration, and gave him some Mount Nelson socks as a remembrance.
From start to end, just a truly special stay that was a capstone to an amazing Africa visit.
