Superb hotel and immediately one of my favorites worldwide, The staff to a person-- very welcoming, the food was great and the rooms very good! I would not hesitate to repeat and plan now to return to Cape Town with this resort as our #1 choice. We had originally stayed there as part of an Ama Waterways tour but will return on our own-0--- truly a great place!

This is the first hotel I've stayed in in SA that matches a 5 star hotel in Europe or the UK with the friendliness of Africa.
A truly magnificent place with large, beautifully designed rooms. The wall panelling and high ceilings give an elegant spacious feel along with the crafted wooden floors and unique artwork.
The beds are out-of-this-world comfortable and a nice extra is the dressing room area where suitcases are stored giving more space and less clutter in the actual bedroom.
All this in the smallest room which is over 40 square meters!

We stayed in a room with French doors opening onto a view of the mountain and the yachts.
The amenities are ample, some of which are Le Labo -a favourite brand of ours.
A nice touch was the fabric wash for handwashing socks and underwear.
There are so many little extras- even a USbC charging port( that's one I haven't even seen overseas yet!)
I asked for oat milk for my coffee and was given a full litre carton of the highest quality oat milk- another considerate and generous gesture.
The breakfasts are A la carte- a small but ample menu with some really delicious choices. I tries the coconut Birchers muesli and the yogurt with fruit and a delicious peanut butter mousse. My husband had the omelette with cheese and smoked hake- also got a 10/10. Their fresh juices are actually freshly squeezed and absolutely delicious.
Service and friendliness of staff from parking boom attendant to reception to housekeeping makes you feel like you're amongst friends.

I cannot wait to return - Thank you to all of you who made our stay so memorable!

We spent 5 nights at Cape Grace. It is a lovely hotel with excellent customer service. The staff learn your names and preferences. Our room was beautiful, quiet, comfortable and spacious. The hotel's location in the V&A waterfront area was perfect for our needs. We could walk to the ferry to Robben Island in 10-15 minutes. The Hop-on/Hop-off bus also has a stop nearby.

The included breakfast was delicious. We ate dinner at the hotel on two nights and found the food very good. I definitely would stay here again.

Cape Grace Hotel is not just a place you check in to, in order to sleep and store luggage.

They have fully accessible rooms, as well as lifts to all floors, free WiFi, are child-friendly, and are ready to accommodate your reasonable hospitality needs at all hours!

112 rooms (signature and junior suites) have everything from:

Fresh white paint base paired with African botanical hues (watch for burnished oranges and greens), to Textured textile wall accenting; Classic modernist panelling, to Secreted-away storage and in-room essentials; Plush furnishings in perfect condition, to Spaciousness, and Symmetrical architecture and decor alignment.

In all the functional ways that matter, Cape Grace Hotel remains equal to the qualities of global five-star hospitality and its own unique history. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’s management has brought the dignified grand dame of the waterfront into its cosmopolitan era though, in a way that sets it up as not just classy but also cool.

Come sunshine, the facelifted Cape Grace pool area accessible to all guests, will be one of the hottest hangouts in the city.

Striped loungers and umbrellas, cabana awnings, bright towels, wicker and rattan chairs and sofas, and a roomy outdoor bar primed to serve you creative cocktails, is a setup inviting sunscreen, soft tunes, and poolside stays till sunset.

Room tip: Come sunshine, the facelifted Cape Grace pool area accessible to all guests, will be one of the hottest hangouts in the city.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I love starting with the employees because the employees can make or break a stay no matter how nice the hotel is. This hotel is almost perfect. My only complaint about this hotel is the size of the bathroom shower and toilet area. Other than that—perfecto!!! The employees are amazing in every way. Your name is remembered from the moment you check in and they’re respectful of you and do everything they can to please you. The rooms are spotless. Daily maid service is excellent. Walking distance to so so so many things.I would highly highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area.
