The finest hotel we have yet stayed in. Cape Grace is perfectly located to enjoy the spectacular and changing views of Table Mountain (a room with a Mountain view is worth it), but also a short stroll from the vibrant Victoria and Alfred Waterfront (yes, Victoria’s son, not husband!) with its entertainers, shops and restaurants. To wake up in the morning to such a spectacular view will be difficult to replicate. Members of staff were unfailingly charming and you were given the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble. Naturally, being in Cape Town during this severe drought, and with Day Zero approaching, we enquired as to what precautions the hotel were taking. In addition to encouraging guests to shower rather than use the bath – the bath plugs have been removed but are available on request – various water-saving adaptations have been introduced in relation to some of the operations systems within the building. It’s difficult to imagine how such service might be maintained in the short term however. Special mention goes to Cemone and her concierge colleague who gave excellent service and always with a smile.

Can definitely recommend the wonderful Cape Grace .... fabulous location, great food and excellent staff. From the moment we arrived everybody made us so very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Superb Concierge team too - they went out of their way to help us and thanks to them we made the very best of our all to short time in Cape Town.

Had the best experience at this amazing hotel on the last two nights of our African Adventure. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, everyone addresses you by your name upon sight. We had an early check in which allowed us to lounge around the very peaceful pool and poolside bar. Our room which overlooked the harbour was huge and so well equipped with everything the discerning traveller could possibly wish for and well cleaned. We ate at Signal on the first night and enjoyed the free wine tasting with Gerald who was amazing and so knowledgable. The meal at Signal was fantastic and so reasonably priced. the hotel is right on the V&A so handy for sightseeing and trips around Cape Town. We would highly reccomend a stay at this hotel.

Room tip: One side of the hotel overlooks the harbour and the otherside overlooks Table Mountain it depends on your preference

The service is exceptional. All the staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. However we were disappointed with the room. It is perfectly satisfactory but just not good value. Cape Grace is expensive and considering that we found our room, the most basic to be fair, to be average. As we were on honeymoon we had hoped to be upgraded or at least a view. We only ate breakfast there and it was very good. We did the free wine tasting at the bar and that was good too. Overall a pleasant stay but not convinced by the cost versus reward.

Just completing a 4 night stay here and have been immensely pleased with everything. The entire staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. The hotel is in a perfect location, short walk to VA Waterfront with tons of activities and restaurants and very safe at night. The hotel is elegant but warm and inviting. There are lovely decorating and design details throughout the hotel. They include many amenities including free parking, free chauffeur service throughout the city. The room has nespresso and flavored tea with biscotti every day. The breakfast buffet is a work of art with every conceivable thing to eat and that's just the cold food. You can then order off the menu for a delicious made to order hot entree. The food in Signal is outstanding! We had dinner there one night and it was wonderful. Had tapas and wine at Bascule outdoors and again excellent food and reasonable wine prices. Room very spacious and quiet. Lovely library has complimentary sherry and a cozy place to sit . There is a complimentary wine tasting each evening. Concierge staff were a wealth of info and made many bookings for us. This hotel is a gem.

Room tip: marina side has views of table mountain
