Main Road Sea Point at the Bantry Bay end. Portuguese Italian. New owners about a year or so ago redecorated and have created a cosy restaurant where the locals eat. Great pasta and some meat and seafood dishes. Risotto is excellent and a special every day.Food is prepared to order so its fresh.

Dear Guest

Thank you very much for your visit and this great review. We are happy you enjoyed everything so much.

At Goloso we firmly believe in making everything we serve right here on the premises, and we cook from scratch every day using the best produce we can find according to age old methods. It's the only way we know, and we will continue doing this for as long as we can.

We look forward to seeing you again!

All the best

Just back from excellent evening meal. My wife had the grilled kingklip fish fillet and I had the veggie pizza. Normally would not have a dessert but shared a cannoli dessert, which was very good. Good service and very reasonable price for food and wine. Everything seemed very fresh and the ambiance was lovely. Keep up the great food.

Dear Guest

Thank you very much for your visit and this excellent review. We are really happy to hear you enjoyed everything we have to offer.

At Goloso the aim has always been to combine the best quality cuisine with great value for money. Almost everything we serve is made right here on the premises from fresh ingredients bought daily, and because we are so small we sell out of nearly the entire menu at the end of the night, so whatever is available is usually made that same day. It's a lot of work but doing it the old fashioned way is the only way we know, so we will keep doing this for as long as we can.

Thank you again for all your compliments, we certainly look forward to seeing you again.

Dear Guest

Thank you for your return to us and this lovely review. We are really happy you enjoyed it so much yet again.

You are right, we have not changed our basic formula of good value Italian inspired cuisine served by friendly faces in a relaxing homely setting. While we certainly slowly evolve our menu, we try to keep to our roots as this is what we have become known for and it is what we do best.

We look forward to seeing you again, for more of the same :)

They have a huge variety of pizza and pasta, including gluten-free options. The service was fast and friendly and the food hot and very tasty. They also offer a lunch special that includes a pizza or pasta and a craft beer for R100 which is a bargain if you've ever seen one!

The food was delicious and the manager went out of his way to get us a table. The sign is a little deterring as it could be mistaken for an Asian restaurant and the interiors need... well... a little help, especially as it's right next to the very trendy Jarryd's... but all in all a delicious experience

Dear guest

Thank you very much for your visit and this review.
We are glad you enjoyed our delicious food and eager welcome so much.

I do apologise if you found our signage a little confusing. "Goloso" being an Italian word and the signage being green, white and red (the colors of the Italian flag), we have always thought it identifies us quite clearly.
Regarding our decor and "ambiance", please understand that at Goloso the focus is first and foremost on the food and not the decor. We do offer a comfortable, relaxed venue where guests from all walks of life can feel at home. While we do strive to make further improvements to the decor as time and money allows, I can assure you that the words "trendy" and "Goloso" will never be mentioned in the same sentence. We are just not that type of place ;)

Thank you again for your visit and feedback. We look forward to seeing you again.

Best regards
