We visited with a huge group on New Year’s Day. Trying to get a table for 25 seemed to be an issue, we tried calling, however they had a problem with their phone. Eventually a setting was made up. Taking the order went well with Kids orders going through first. I had the tapas ribs which was lovely (well seasoned and minimal fat), grilled kingklip which was yum. My husband had the sushi which was ok. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Couldn’t fault the service once we were seated.

His place was a great find. Although we were placed on a table on sand - great for the kids, a little tricky for the adults when pulling in your chair. Extensive menu and good service.

Located in the heart of the V&A waterfront, this massive restaurant is well appointed. Staff were friendly and they accommodated our two babies (with high chairs) and a table in the corner, so we caused as little chaos as possible to others. Service started well, but the food took an age to come. The sushi was dreadful. Poorly prepared, tasteless and for some reason every dish was dripping in mayonnaise or salad dressing. It was really disappointing. We’ve eaten out plenty around Cape Town on this trip and this has been our worse meal yet. I love sushi and was looking forward to it, and quite frankly left feeling a bit sick. Will not return and would not recommend.

We had just arrived after a day and a half trip from Canada and were getting oriented to Cape Town. We needed to relax and dine. Mid afternoon and whole area very busy for the holidays. We split an excellent calamari starter, I had a spicy paella and my wife the Poko bowl. All good. Local draft ale went down well and the house Sauvignon blanc likewise. Very reasonable prices by Toronto standards, probably a bit high by local levels. Service very good. Recommended
