I have just returned from a gastro few days in CT where our aim was to try the best restaurants in Cape Town. My wife and I had dinner there on Thursday last week. Was tough to get a booking even a day after the bookings for November opened. In any event, we managed to get a spot at the bar for the late sitting. The bar is great if you want to watch the chefs cook, but not an ideal place for a romantic dinner. In any event, perhaps we had built up our hopes to high, as to be honest it was disappointing. You feel rushed into ordering 6-8 tapas to share, and the food comes a little too quickly. Ideal for a quick business lunch but not a leisurely dinner. With regards the actual food, it was ok. Everything seems to be cooked in a rush with very little finesse, I agree with other reviews, that the setting is stunning, but don't put the Potluck Club in a category of fine dinning quality, despite the prices prices charged being at fine dining levels.

We sat at a bar seat at the edge of the open kitchen. This gave us a great view of the kitchen staff, their teamwork and dish preparation. The food is unique and delicious.

Stylish place with a stunning 360 degree view of Cape Town; tapas style portions, so you cn try a lot of different things - just awesome. My personal highlight: the rhubarb crumble. Also, great Cocktails and wine, good service... Quite the experience!

You need a reservation far in advance to visit this eclectic and interesting dinner establishment. Very avant guard so not for the traditional palate. We started with a Rosemary and Elderflower Martini. The menu is divided into 5 sections - Sweet, Sour, Salty, Smokey and Spicy. You select small bites from each and savor the flavors which are presented as works of art.

We visited on a Saturday evening with high expectations as we had read so many good reviews. We were not disappointed as the food was phenomenal. The selection of dishes was excellent and they came out beautifully presented and in a good portion size. The restaurant is also located in a cool spot above The Old Biscuit Mill so you will be treated with lovely views. A brilliant evening and highly recommended to anyone who loves and appreciates quality food and a cool atmosphere. Book a table in advance and you will not regret it.
