The service was great. The restaurant has an awesome view! There is lots of light and sun coming through the windows that go all around the restaurant. The waiter was very familiar with all the dishes and gave excellent recommendations. The flavours of the food were mind blowing and they were served in order from lightest to heaviest meals/tapas. Lovely atmosphere with quaint decor! I will be back!

Loved this place. Food was interesting and delicious. The service was attentive and engaging but not stuffy. Felt like Momofuku ssam bar in NY or Saison in San Fran. Try to time it with a sunset the view of the city is awesome especially from the out side balcony.

Often when a place gets a lot of hype it's almost impossible for it to meet expectations. We had eaten at its sister Restaraunt " The Test Kitchen " recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience . The more informal tapas style sibling at the top of The Old Biscuit Mill tower was next on our list .
Apart from the spectacular views and informal , personable service , the food was worth travelling across town for . The menu is split into Salty , Sour , Umami and Sweet . The idea is to pick a couple of dishes from each sub-set and share .
Everything we chose was spectacularly tasty , with well developed and balanced flavour . Presentation is neat but not frilly , and portion size is tapas - leaving you wanting , and ordering just s bit more .
The wine list is interesting but not exhaustive .
Pricing is very fair . Undoubtedly one of the highlights of our culinary trip to SA
One last thing - try the Thai Green Curry Martini as an aperitif . It sounds unlikely , but like everything else at The Pot Luck Club , it surprises and delights !!

Being the top SA restaurant it actually doesn't need much of an introduction and I doubt requires any reviews to have people flock to Luke Dake-Roberts place on top of the Old Biscuit Mill in Cape Town, but I still felt it deserved a review. From the moment we arrived I was hit by the normality of the place - proof that 5-star food does not require the snooty-nish of some of the 5-star places we have visited. "Still, sparkling or tap" was music to my ears. Parents, if your kids can behave and have sophisticated palates - you don't have to worry about taking them. Thank you for the wonderful experience - I ticked it off on my bucket list and will certainly come back - the food was out-of-this-world and your service excellent.

Enjoyed the view and atmosphere of this place. Grabbed a drink here before our Test Kitchen reservation. Friendly staff. Only wished we had another day and we would have returned there for dinner. It was a happening place!
