So you go up this glass elevator to the top of this warehouse/factory type building and it opens up into this really cool resto with great views all around. It's a great beginning to a great meal.

There's about 30 things to try on the menu, so with six of us there, we ordered almost all 30 of them and they were all amazing. The staff was really attentive, which was helpful given that each of these tapas places is a bit different. This style of eating is great for friends that love to share food.

Interestingly, they have two single, identical BR except that the ladies' has a window with a great view, while guys only have 4 walls. So me (a guy) went into the ladies' of course, so I could look out the window while I pee. Clearly the solution would be to make them both unisex. Designated identical bathrooms are so 19th century, and this place is trying to be modern. My view was not shared by the woman who was waiting for "her" bathroom to be free outside--but she could not look out the window when she peed because the sill is higher than eye level when one is sitting.

Anyway, come for the food and the service! It's loud, but our group of six could still talk which is all I ask for.

We had brought a dear friend with us to The Pot Luck Club, who has never been, since we visited a year previously...and The Pot Luck Club did Not fail to impress. The beautifully cooked and presented tapa dishes were absolutely delicious ! Service was impeccable and the penthouse views are stunning. Fish tacos are amazing, along with the Duck and Deserts. Highly recommended.

having been a fan of the taste kitchen we thought we would try this tapas style dining. Boy were we in for a treat. The menu is not too extensive which is always a good sign. We ordered eight dishes which was a shame as we were too full to try the delicious sounding desserts. Every choice was delightful, beautifully presented, packed full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Loved the springbok carpaccio, the battered fish with cardomman mayonnaise, the calamari with cape Malay curry sauce was packed full of flavour. Also loved the beef fillet, the subtle flavour of the sole which was lovely fresh fish expertly cooked. The service was great with attentive knowledgeable servers. Can't wait to rebook. My only negative observation was that the martinis came in a strange bowl shaped gold edged glass rather than a true martini glass. Also the chairs were like old school chairs rather than a nice comfortable dining chair but these are minor complaints as the food was the main purpose for coming and we were totally satisfied with the exquisite flavour of every dish.

A great setting and warm welcome. Good selection of dishes which were all delicious. We did feel that the wine was overpriced compared to many other places we ate during our two weeks in Cape Town (including at 5* hotel and a number of wineries). Food was tasty, freshly cooked and on the good side of quirky. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant which was not what we were expecting! An expensive treat but great none the less!

6 English tourists booked in for an evening meal to the Pot Luck Club, having seen others comments on TA and were not disappointed. The ability to choose and taste lots of "michelin quality" tapas in pleasant vibrant surroundings, served by knowledgeable friendly staff was much appreciated. This was the best dining experience of our 14 day tour (and we ate out every day). The meal and drinks were not expensive by UK or European standards, we just wish this restaurant was on our doorstep in the UK.
