Poor dining experience at Hacienda restaurant in Cape Town; prompt deposit taken but resulted in four out of six diners falling ill from the same shared dishes. Slow response from establishment when warned, with denial of responsibility attributed to a stomach bug. Don’t eat there it dangerous

From the moment we entered to the moment we left the experience was just amazing. This was high-end mexican food, but it still felt rustic and authentic.
Service was great.
Tip - you must order the chicken tacos. Out of this world.

We had a wonderful evening. It was a feast for all the senses. Staff were warm and welcoming and service was great. The food was excellent - we really enjoyed the BBQed corn and kabeljou ceviche. The evening is filled with many generous touches and surprises. It is the closes I've had to authentic Mexican food in SA. Plus the venue and decor is great. Highly recommend for a fun foodie night out.

Beautiful food. The starters and the sauces were fabulous. And the tacos are a killer.

Turned out this was more of a bar scene than we expected, loud and a little frenetic Some of the food was pretty good (pork belly), other not so (home made tortilla chips - too thick and heavy). Service was scarce.
