Nobu can be found around the globe & I've always loved it although its always very expensive. However; we found the food in Cape Town to be cheap compared to Australia so we thoroughly enjoyed trying heaps of dishes at Nobu at the One & Only Hotel.
Nobu Lounge, on the restaurant's upper level is also impressive & worth trying a few sake's before dinner.

I have been to a few Nobu's around the world and this wasn't one of the best ones.

The service as you would expect was great, and the hotel itself was lovely - perfect for a restaurant of Nobu's calibre.

The hot dishes and oysters were lovely and on point however the sushi dishes were disappointing, the sashimi wasn't at the right temperature and the rolls were overloaded with rice.

Nonetheless we had a great evening.

We were two British families enjoying a Christmas Eve dinner and we had such a good time. The food was amazing, the staff entertained and tolerated our kids. They clearly enjoyed looking after a couple of families enjoying a noisy night out and weren't too precious.

Nobu was conveniently located in our hotel. Food was very well done though always pricey as per any Nobu the world over. The lobster wasabi tacos were fantastic and probably the best lobster tacos we had ever had. The spicy jalapeño margarita they offer (forget the exact name) was also the best cocktail that we have had since being in SA as well. Other than, business as usual - solid...

This was our first visit to a Nobu restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was really delicious with some excellent dishes. We were helped through the menu as we are not too familiar with Sushi and the recommendations were perfect for us.

As we are from the UK we did not find this restaurant expensive but it is by local standards I guess?

Would definitely visit again when in Cape Town.
