We found this to be the best restaurant close to the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Cape Town. We liked the pizza, pasta, and salads. The service was friendly and prompt; the prices were excellent considering US dollar equivalents.

After an absence of some months, I returned to Doppio Zero in the hope that their pizza offering had improved. It hasn't. Perhaps a Monday night before a public holiday is not a good night, but the pizza was sad, soggy and pre prepared. It arrived minutes after the order was placed, and had the texture of a yoga mat. The topping was better, with commercially prepared tomato paste. Not good. Wine by the glass is also more limited than previously.

I’ve never know customer service like this totally appalling. The food was mediocre and tasted awful. Only 3 persons eating and many staff lazing around doing nothing . I asked 3 staff for something simple for my food 35 mins later these jokers of staff even bothered. Don’t waste your time going to this awful place.

I normally avoid food chains, in my opinion they serve food that comes off a conveyor belt. LOL. You wont be disappointed here it,s cosy, reasonably priced and good food. I've never seen the restaurant empty and pass by daily to work. My favorite is their chicken and pesto/roast chicken/bacon & egg on Ciabatta or Turkish loaf (very soft) for R30 at the takeaway counter. I also enjoy their oven baked pizzas and breakfasts. Jeanine(owner) and staff very friendly and accommodating. Delizioso

Nice little restaurant for a quick bite. Albeit the name that sounded like a chain to me, the food was actually very good. Cheap and not a tourist trap, so I would recommend it.
