We arrived here on wednesday night around 11
30pm. Everywhere else between greenpoint stadium and somerset road was well and truly closed despite a very big international rock star playing a concert at the stadium.
We could only get a table outside on the pavement as inside was a shisha heaven. (The hubble bubble pipes). As we planned on eating, sitting outside was our only option (we are non smokers) we ordered food and a bottle of wine and sat for a couple of hours watching the young and wealthy young people of Cape Town coming and going,shoe-horning their fararis, land rovers and mercedes c classes into just about postage stamp sized parking spots. We ordered a grand nachos to share - possibly could feed 3-4 people but very tasty. The music was absolutely awful and unfortunately the "smoking area" was basically anywhere around our table so if tje smell of the hubbly doesnt torment tour sinus passages they will get your lungs with the cigarette smoke! They need to sort out a designated smoking outside area away from anyone eating. Staff were good and security is tight. The menu is texmex and really good. Well worth it. Remember - not many places in this city stay open late unless you want to trek up to long street which is where it all happens. But be warned. Walking alone or in a couple in cape town at night can be a bit scary. Be very aware of who is around you and take very good care of your belingings and yourself.
