If you go to Cape Town, stay at the V&A waterfront. Its where you will spend all your evening anyway. The Queen Vic is perfectly placed for all the restaurants and attractions. Lovely hotel too. Friendly, helpful staff. Modern well appointed rooms. Its a shame the restaurant and bar don't do more business in the evening because they are very good.

This is the kind of hotel that smells nice when you walk in. Always. Despite its location (just across the street from the Waterfront district) it transmits tranquility. We were in room 1208, with a full frontal view of Table Mountain and the Waterfront. The room was well-appointed, with a bath and shower and the usual amenities. All the staff were helpful and professional, and reception helped us with tips and advice on places to go and how to get there. Breakfast was delicious.

Spacious, comfortable room with a fantastic bathroom, in a great location very close to the V&A Waterfront and all it's attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, but we found the breakfast service very slow, so allow plenty of time if you have early day trips.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Queen Victoria! It had an intimate and upscale boutique feel, all of the staff were incredibly attentive, our room was beautifully appointed and spacious, and the location was absolutely perfect. There are some MUCH more expensive hotels to stay at in Cape Town, but if you want to stay near the V&A waterfront, the Queen Victoria is exactly what you need for a great price!

My partner and I were booked for four nights in this hotel at the suggestion of our local travel agent who was helping to organize our multi week trip. Trust the locals! This hotel is adjacent to the lively waterfront with a wide election of shops, restaurants and attractions but removed enough to present a more tranquil atmosphere. The service is five star and our room was beautifully appointed with a nice balcony and very large bathroom that included a separate shower and heated towel rack. The in room coffee and tea station was very much appreciated as were the safe and refrigerator. The 30 rooms are arranged around an internal courtyard that presents a large living room like space with several inviting seating areas. Don't skip the nightly turndown service as the yummy treats are very special. The bar area is enhanced with a fireplace and a grand piano in the evenings. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was hands down the best we experienced on the entire trip.

Room Tip: There is one elevator in the property but the access to some rooms require a few steps.

Good Morning

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review on your recent stay at the Queen Victoria Hotel and Manor House. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent experience with us.

The turn down treats, prepared by our pastry chef, are certainly very decadent and far to tempting to pass. We continuously strive to provide a wonderful guest experience and we look forward to welcoming you back.
