“Blaise was an incredible waiter.”

Mozambik V & A Waterfront
Ranked #4 of 1 188 Restaurants in Cape Town Central
Price range: R 60 - R 500
Description: With its roots firmly set in passion and its flavours unapologetically Afro Porto, the Mozambik restaurant group is fast becoming one of South Africa’s leading dining brands. From its launch as a single store in Ballito, Kwa-Zulu Natal circa 15 years ago, the brand has seen rapid growth over the past half-decade, now totaling 18 stores nationally. Later in 2019, the Mozambik brand will also expand north of the Limpopo with its first international store scheduled to open in Lusaka. Chef Brett Michelien has, over time, developed a range of bastings, sauces and rubbing spices that has become Mozambik’s trademark. The menu is inspired by Afro-Porto cuisine with a rich tapestry of flavour the common denominator across an eclectically styled offering. From traditional fare such as prawns through to Mozambik’s famous chicken, the menu offers a wide variety of taste experiences.

Blaise was an incredible waiter. The food was also amazing. We will be back and can’t wait to eat more calamari and chicken. 😄

During our stay in Cape Town we went several times for dinner to this restaurant, because it was so tasty. Great mussels and calamari and fantastic steaks.

A large menu with lots of options. I had the calamari which was really good - it comes with lots of garlic, lemon and herb sauce which is delicious. The prawns and chicken also looked good. Value for money is also good

My husband loved his calamari and liver combo - never seen that before! He had mashed potato with it and thought he was in heaven! My fillet cooked in a red wine and peri peri sauce was equally delicious and left my lips tingling. Prices were very reasonable considering we were seated right on the waterfront at the V&A in Cape Town. And the service was friendly and efficient. We are still sitting here looking at Table Mountain as the sun sets. It’s a lovely place to dine. You should try it!
