Description: Meloncino – Ristorante, Bar, Pizzeria Italiano. Experience authentic Italian cuisine in Cape Town. Meloncino Restaurant opened at the V&A Waterfront, bringing a genuine Italian flavour to our shores. The modern and stylish decor creates an eclectic European vibe where one can sip cocktails and snack on canapes, nuts and olives. As someone suggested, “Close your eyes and you could be in Rome.” Open your eyes and you face the magnificent Table Mountain, as seen from the comfort of one of Meloncino’s white sofas. Expect home-made pasta with authentic Italian sauces, steaks and seafood from their charcoal grill, traditional wood-fired pizza and an extensive menu to choose from. In order to stay faithful to the original, various ingredients like cheese, coffee and wine are imported from Italy. Buon appetito!

VERY much enjoyed our dinner at Meloncino's. We were surprised and delighted that two young men started to sing opera which was excellent. SIVIWE ATHENKOSI had a great voice and we so enjoyed that. Service at restaurant was excellent and we loved the whole evening. we recommend this highly.

A very nice restaurant were mist people go for their woddfired pizzas and they are worth a try if you like salt!
The two typer of pizzas we tried were both very salt! It works and the pizza is good but it would have bean even better with less salt in it!

Extensive menu. We chose pasta starters, both very generous portions veal ravioli delicious and bucatini arrabiata was also good with the addition of some extra chilli. Saltimbocca also delicious and fish with lemon sauce and Mediterranean vegetables. Wash down with good white wine. Our last meal in Cape Town before heading home with a view of the mountain. Memorable.

Very good food, good service and a great location. The menu is quite large, as expected in an Italian Restaurant, but does not compromise the quality.

I visited Meloncino during my recent stay in Cape Town. Food is very good and not too far from italian authentic recipes. Had a very good pasta, service was good and I liked the casual atmosphere too. The view on the harbor adds some charme.
