We got up early and hike to the top via Platteklip Gorge with Pietro. It was an amazing experience with a very nice chap. The views are fantastic and Pietro is very knowledgeable. I would recommend this company and guide to anyone.

Walking up Table Mountain, and down again if you are so inclined, is both a great pleasures and a memorable experience. Unless experienced with this mountain it’s best to go with a guide, and you will find no better than with Table Mountain Walks. I’ve been hiking with them over the last five years and they have consistently been excellent. This was confirmed (again) last week when I did three separate walks with Pietro, who - like Margaret - knows almost every aspect of this mountain whatever the conditions or time of year. As I had done most of the regular routes up and down, which were all very satisfying, this time I picked a day’s walk up India Venster and then across and down through the Twelve Apostles. I had always wanted to walk India Venster, and I personally found it on a par with the scramble up Lion’s Head, though obviously longer. Then on the second outing we walked up Devil’s Peak, an iconic part of the Cape Town backdrop but one rarely visited. That too was great, thanks to Pietro’s calm advice, clear route guidance, and courteous and cheerful chat all the way. What a good one to nail! Finally, we walked a long one, from Constantia Nek to Maclear’s Beacon, and back via Spielhaus Gorge. That too was a marvelous day out on the mountain. There is no doubt that each of these routes is a challenge for a visitor, even potentially dangerous. Yet with Pietro’s support they were transformed into an utterly brilliant experience. Thank you Pietro, and Margaret, and Table Mountain Walks.

This company is top notch. Margaret was very responsive to booking and made sure we had a great guide for our walk. Pietro was fantastic, being very knowledgeable about all the walks in the area, as well as a friendly, outgoing, and wonderful person. We really were happy with him as our guide. He was able to pick up on our strengths and weaknesses, and guided us the whole way accordingly. We even changed our walk to Lion's Head the morning of (instead of Table Mountain) which Pietro had no problem with (and even recommended given the windy conditions).

Lion's Head itself was a fantastic hike that was reasonably challenging, but not overly strenuous. The views at the top though were the biggest payoff, with 360 degree points of view of Table Mountain, the city, and the ocean. Nature in all its glory. Would definitely recommend this hike, this company, and Pietro to anyone visiting Cape Town!

We went at a pace to suit all of the members of the party, stopping at regular intervals to 'refuel' and talk about the next section of the walk. Incredible views from the top. I was recommended by two friends & will recommend to others to do this walk. You do need to be equipped with water, hat, jumper & a snack though.
