I highly recommend Table Mountain Walks to make the most of a hike up Table Mountain. Our lovely guide Lynette was informative and encouraging. Our time in Cape Town was limited so having a guide that picked us up at our hotel, knew exactly where to go and was knowledgable was a huge plus.

If you're visiting Cape Town you really should take the cable way to the top of table mountain. A series a easy paths criss-cross the top of Table Mountain. They are all clearly marked with estimated walking time. You shouldn't require any special footwear - perhaps avoid heels. The views are spectacular and are accessible from any part of the mountain. The facilities are of good standard. The cafe offers a broad selection of food and drink catering for all tastes including cold beer. Beware of the weather as it can change quickly, but if you plan ahead and check the forecast this shouldn't be a problem. The whole trip can be as long or as short as you want as the cable cars run every 5 minutes.

This was one of our highlights of our holiday. We got picked up by our very lovely and friendly guide Pietro and taken to the beautiful gardens to start our hike. We were in a group of 5 other walkers and the company had done very well to put people of similar fitness ability together.
The tour was fantastic, Pietro was very knowledgable and we felt very safe in his care. Care was taken to make sure everyone was ok and the pace wasn't too much. I cannot rate this tour highly enough, great value for money and an excellent way of enjoying the mountain without worrying about getting lost!

Margaret picked me up at my hotel, as arranged, An early start but worth it! The walk up the Kasteelpoort route was incredibly scenic, we walked through some thick cloud on the way up but on arrival at the top the sky cleared and we were rewarded with a view that was second to none. we stopped on the way up at regular intervals to look at the beautiful vegetation and sunbirds, plenty of opportunities to get your breath back!
Highly recommended!

We booked the hike just for the 2 of us, and Pietro collected us from our hostel in Cape Town. My friend is younger and fitter, but Pietro held a steady calm pace, as it was a hike scheduled between 4-5 hours to the top of Table Mountain via the 12 Apostles. We were very lucky with the weather, it was overcast to start the day, so the 'table cloth' was draped over Table Mountain. We left from Camps Bay, an 1,5 hour later we arrived at the stunning 12 apostles, the 'diving board', it's quite something. Definitely a photo opportunity. We then continued to Table Mountain, exactly 4 hours later we arrived on the top and 10 minutes before arriving, the sky opened up, the clouds disappeared and sun was being relentless. If you like hiking, this is a must. Pietro is very knowledgeable about the area, he'll tell you some interesting stories. He knows his fauna and flora. Even if you are very fit and an experienced hiker, don't rush through it, savour the moment and your surroundings. I can definitely recommend Table Mountain Walks, their communication from the 1st email to the drop-off was second-to-none. Very professional.
