This is a restaurant that seems to get mentioned in all the guide books and when you are in Cape Town people ask you if you have visited. Overall its worth a look.
Yes its a bit touristy however a good selection of mixed 'local' dishes with various African Meat Specialties on the menu for you to try.
All the food we tried was good - but not exceptional. I tried the vegetarian butternut squash - which was fine. My husband the Springbok - which he enjoyed.
We were a bit early and the live music was only just getting going as we were thinking of leaving. However what we saw / heard was good and the singer was doing some interesting dancing.
It was very busy - so you may well need to book.
