Wonderful views over the harbour and table mountain. Very nice service, and the food was good, though not outstanding

Great meal at Karibu last night. Ostrich was cooked to perfection and the service from Ashley was friendly and efficient. If you fancy a cocktail give the Karibu Kiss a try, looks amazing and tastes even better!

Our guesthouse manager recommended Karibou when we told her we wanted a great ostrich filet whenever we visit South Africa. Karibou fit the bill wonderfully. We got a nice patio table with a very friendly waitress named Evidence. The salad was great, followed by the ostrich filet and the putu & chakalaka veggie side dish she recommended. The wine list was extensive and the Durbanville Hills "Rhino Fields" wooded chardonnay was excellent. It got chilly at night, so blankets were provided for us. We had a nice view of the harbor and Table Mountain in the distance. Yes, the V&A Waterfront is touristy, there are tons of restaurants now and the mall has exploded in size since we were here 20 years ago, but we highly recommend Karibou. It was really busy at the waterfront that night, so it's a good idea to make a reservation.

Our decision to have lunch at Karibu after having just arrived via London from Arizona was a delight. Our waiter Stanley was on spot...from wine to meal selection. The waterfront location on Victoria Wharf was a plus. Our table outside was nicely set. We rapidly felt at home and our tiredness disappeared. Kudos to Stanley for our first amazing meal in South Africa.

Good array of local dishes. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Really awesome vibe in the restaurant with the birthday singing etc. Booking in advance is required especially over high season period. Overall wonderful evening!
