“A French Touch”
Review of Swan Cafe

Swan Cafe
Ranked #164 of 1 193 Restaurants in Cape Town Central
Price range: R 36 - R 145
Description: Bonjour… Welcome to Cape Town’s first authentic Parisian Crêperie Step into Swan… a café and crêperie transported straight from a Paris sidewalk with an air of bonhomie, a look of South Bank chic, waiters in Breton stripes and the pièce de résistance: amazing crêpes, as thin as a French mademoiselle, as full bodied as a mythological Leda with a flick of cream, a wink of cinnamon and an oh là là of chocolate. For the guilty and gluten-free there are sinfully good-for-you savoury buckwheat-based galettes. And to accentuate it all: exclusively blended teas with names like French Kiss, Paris Je T’aime, Teint de Pêche and A Minty Affair; steeped in the perfume of Paris, sipped with the promise of ‘encore’… you’ll be back for more.

Really something different. Loved the fresh squeezed OJ. Interesting dishes like petite boulette and crepes. Gorgeous salads. Service was good but fair warning, the cafe is mall and very busy for lunch on a Saturday. You may have to wait for a seat but it's worth it.

We were really surprised and happy to discover this place just a few meters away from the District 6 Museum ! We’re French, like the owner of the place, and we ate really tasty crepes in a nicely decorated place ! The team is really nice and we were glad to try the place ! Good idea ! Would definitely recommend !

I came across this place after visiting the District Six Museum. It was a rainy day so I was cafe hopping. The interior is bright and cheerful, as are the staff. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. A great find!

Very stylish, even the uniforms are in style. The cafe has a very comfortable, stylish, welcome feel, it is has a feel of any age. Have all the healthy ticks on the menu, and the TASTY Yummy ones as well. The fresh fruit juice and tea are good. The soup was good. The cauliflower dish was amazing.

We happened to find this café on our last day in Cape Town. Wish we would have known about it much earlier. The food as delicious, service was wonderful and the café was very clean. The décor and ambiance was absolutely lovely! I would highly recommend this café.
