I searched the internet far and wide looking for an affordable two bedroom unit in the heart of Cape Town for our recent holiday to South Africa. I stubbled across that absolute gem!!

This unit is located on the 15th floor of the Cartwright building at the intersection of Adderley and Darling Street. Cartwright is a secure building with secure parking and security staff.

Charmaine and her team made this leg of our trip amazing; they are outstanding hosts!

As you can see from the photos it is an amazing unit with amazing views. This unit has two large bedrooms each with their own full bathroom. There is open living for the kitchen, living and dining. I absolutely loved the light from the two glass walls in the living area. The unit has it’s own laundry facilities. The unit provides clear views of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head and Table Mountain. It also provides views of historic areas including Parliament and Company’s Garden.

If you partake in the Cape Town historic walking tour you will basically walk around the vicinity of this building. It is 200m from two tourist markets Green Market Square and Saint George Mall, 200m from the start of historic walking tours (at Green Market Square), 300m from two supermarkets and 500m from Bo-Kaap.

With thewe felt perfectly safe walking the streets .

As our hub with completed to guided walking tours, self tours of Company’s Garden and Bo-Kaap, walked to V&A water front. Ate at a variety of restaurants and attended both Green Market Square and Saint George Mall markets a couple of times. Although we did not go out at night we felt completely safe throughout each day from dawn to dusk due to the volume of people and security guards throughout the city.

If I return to Cape Town for a holiday, the first place I will search for to stay is this unit.
