I just wanna take this moment and thank the front desk manager, Sive for his outstanding ways in making me and my family feel at home at the One and Only. From booking accommodation, being picked at the airport and the hotel concierge. Everything was exceptional! The view of the table mountain as you walk in to the hotel lobby—aahh breathtaking view! The welcome greeting of placing a hand on the heart-wow! I felt like i was on a set of the famous, Black Panther movie. I mean everyone from the security to the office staff uses the same greeting. The One and Only gave me and my family the “Wakanda-Experience.”

The hotel is conveniently placed with most attractions at a walking distance. Totally secured. Thats what i love about Cape Town. I mean one can walk in the middle of the night without having to watch over their shoulder. Its my second time staying her and the staff still remembers how i want my food prepared—aint that great! Mickey breakfast is also great! If i missed breakfast he asked if it was ok if its delivered to my room. I mean hpw great is that! Talk about royal treatment! Talk about beauty and oppulance thats the One and Only for you. The range of luxurious fleet waiting to take younto any destination right at the door step! The golf cart ready to drive you to the island—the island is the man-made hotel extension at the back of the hotel which offers breathtaking views and is surrounded by a water canal. It gives a presence of being in a jungle with a spa and a warmed up pool and a restaurant. I mean time can passby just being in the island. Its another world of its own. I used to stay in the main hotel, but since i am nature-loving person i felt more in touch with nature on the island. And this is one hotel where you will meet everyone from all walks of life. We have the opportunity of meeting the international film Star, Malik Yoba there! Thats is just one reason of staying at the One and One if you just want to bump into International Film Stars. I hear that the likes of Justin Bieber once stayed here as well. Its a great hotel.

With that being said “Thank you guys for a great hotel experience and your over the top service delivery.” To the hotel management: i think you did a great job with guys at the front desk. They are face of the hotel. They are the one that make us want to return to the hotel or move to another hotel! We give good or bad reviews on the first impression and they are your first impression! They are the face of the company!

This is our 6th time staying and we spent 8 nights here with our family. We love the central location of the hotel and we stay in the Island rooms (2 rooms inter-connecting). The rooms are fantastic after the upgrade a few years ago but the big improvement was around the pool.

There are new towels, menu and staff are much much better. I believe Melissa and Sindhi were fantastic here. The food and everything was proper 5 star this year.

Breakfast is excellent with so many options and all the waitresses are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Finally the car park valet staff are brilliant and great fun!

We have already booked for trip number 7!

Room tip: The hotel lobby is busy during Mining Conference but pool area is very quiet

Terrible service and accommodation from the day manager (Sive) and the front desk staff. No one really is in charge of providing accurate information so they end up misleading you on the hotels’s services. We booked 4 rooms at $1000/night and upon arrival, we were told rooms would be ready within 45 minutes but 3 hours later we were still waiting. Next day, we asked about the spa services and we were told that they would accommodate on same day basis. Well, when we asked for just one massage, the spa was fully booked for our entire stay! Manager just gave us a blank stare and was completely dismissive. No solution, just “I’m sorry”. This is not ok for a 5 star hotel. The expectation from a luxury stay is to figure out a solution… at least that’s a difference between a manager and a front desk employee. In this hotel, there is no difference. The rest of the hotel staff ( restaurant and room service) is excellent. Very unfortunate experience with management.

The lack of accurate communication has been raised with the Front Office team and is being addressed to ensure these issues are mitigated and resolved. This is not at all representative of the training and service excellence we are known for and I assure you this not the standard nor the norm. Our guests are most valued and should be at the center of our operations with no challenges or inconveniences experienced, I am most regretful that this was not your experience and that the issues were not swiftly resolved and communicated. In Cape Town with a colleague... where to eat?

There is no shortage of wonderful, fun, tasty, interesting restaurants in Cape Town. We had tried One&Only for breakfast some days ago (excellent) so decided to have dinner there. Our waiter, Sifiso, was a highlight: very professional, knowledgeable and attentive, and guided us with excellent suggestions. He also had us howling with laughter on many occasions. Good man.

The meal was filled with tasty and innovative dishes that were flat out delicious! And to finish, the Mango and Passion Fruit desert was sooooo good!

All in all it was a meal to savor. Outstanding is all aspects - and the price was very reasonable. Thanks Sifiso and One&Only: we will be back!

We visited the Vista bar for a high tea. It was our anniversary, Zoey and Natalia made it so special! We had the best time and will definitely be back.

Recently stayed at the One and Only with friends from Texas. The Hotel came highly recommended by a South African friend.
We were not disappointed, the hotel was amazing with impeccable service throughout, particularly in the restaurants and bars. Everywhere we ate the food was delicious and the staff amazing, we were delighted when the Director of Food and Beverage and the General Manager Anne met us to check on our stay, this never happens in other hotels we have stayed in.
Very Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and views, and delicious food, what more could you ask for! Also, location is great, you can walk anywhere.
