A positive experience. Went for an early dinner before sunset. Pleanty of front of house. Seven guests at the time, seven staff. Great, clean ambiance. One of us had salmon with a mirin broth. Other had ordered teriyaki with sauce. Both delicious. Service excellent and friendly. Great buzz inside - we could sense that the staff were preparing for a festive buzz night.
Even though only seven patrons in a big restaurant the music was blaring. As guests we could not hear each other. To their credit when we asked for it to be softened they did. Then the volume started creeping up again. Someone else must have asked for music to be turned down because it softened again. Loud music when only a few patrons are inside seems to be such a Cape Town thing. It seems as if the staff like to play the music at super high volume for their own pleasure. Patrons don't like it.
Lovely establishment, well trained staff, delicious cuisine, good ambiance, nice views. Recommended.
