Out of the way place on the working wharf - took a taxi to get there. The outside left us wondering if we had made a mistake, but not to worry, all is well indoors, just not fancy on the outside. Had the seafood platter for 2, and thoroughly enjoyed the feast! Prices reasonable. Waitress called us a taxi to get back to our hotel.

We celebrated a friend's birthday over a Sunday lunch. The seafood platter for 2 was delicious (fish, mussels, prawns, calamari & flavored rice) and the various sauces complimented it very nicely. You can choose between grilled or fried fish. I love the atmosphere with the low ceiling covered with flags. Friendly staff, Quick service. Well priced lunch menu.

This was an extremely hard review to rate... the food is by far the best sea food ever!!! I would and I do recommend this place to everyone!!
Now for the bad news... the last time we were there we received dirty plates that I sent back for new ones. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome when we arrived. This was also not the first time we received bad service... The platters that we ordered gave her an automatic R100+ tip if you work on 10% and it's as if she didn't even try to give us good service. We usually like to tip around 30 - 40% depending on the service we receive but this time it made us feel uncomfortable to even give her the straight 10%... Our glasses were empty for a long time before she came around... and when our drinks came she brought the wrong drinks. Also, a few of us ordered milkshakes and she couldn't tell the difference between the vanilla and lime (not green), we needed to taste each others drinks to tell who's was who's. We had to ask for our complementary buns that everyone else received without even thinking. The service from the kitchen on the other hand was very quick.
The outside of the restaurant isn't great but it's very nice and cozy inside. We just had a bit of a mishap last time... the chairs are not very comfortable and the last time we were there there was a small hole in the floor that the foot of the chair fell into that caused one of our guests to fall over the other. Luckily the other guest was there otherwise he would have ended up on the floor.... So yes... not a great experience... we didn't even receive a thank you on our way out even though we tried to be friendly throughout the whole dinner. I think their staff need to be trained to give better customer service. BUT, nevertheless I would go back for the food - for sure!! Try the platter for 2 with the rice, kingklip, prawns and crayfish.

This restaurant is in the shipping yard area. My daughter got a suggestion from a friend that we should eat there. What a great choice! The food was excellent! One of the best seafood restaurants in the world. Our waiter was attentive and fun. He even let us use his wifi hotspot to order a Uber. We highly recommend this restaurant.

As this restaurant is at the heart of the working port, sailors get off the gangplank, walk in and chow down. It is the real deal for top quality fish and an experience - don´t get discouraged by the photos you see - this place is a must. The seafood platters for two are killer. The Don Pedro with whisky is killer. The oyster shots are killer. The chocolate volcano is killer. Need we say more?
