We were after a quick and easy meal and were not disappointed. We had a seafood platter, which was delicious and then ordered two medium fish and chips. The fish portion was huge! But incredibly flakey and perfectly cooked. We also stayed and had dessert as the service we had received was very good. It was a great place to sit and watch the world go by too.

Lovely restaurant when you are in the mood for gourmet sushi and seafood. I recommend going on Tuesdays when they have half price sushi. Also enjoyed a lovely chocolate volcano dessert. Would love to visit here again

Bitterly disappointed in seafood chain that has become a bit of an institution in South Africa and beyond. Quality of sushi, poor service and lack of management oversight will drive you to try the slot machines rather. At least the machines respond when you press the button!

'Tried to have a quick meal at the sushi bar at Grand West outlet but stumbled on a dining disaster. The sushi staff hardly looked up to take an order, the waitrons were conspicuously absent and when they took an order, they got it wrong. The fare on the rotating belt looked dried out and off colour - probably prepared hours earlier. Patrons wouldn't touch it.

Avoid this place if you can. They don't do this great chain any favors.

Arrived in Cape Town after two flights from Munich. Went to check out the Waterfront V&A and found this place that look quiet and relaxing overlooking the clock tower and the swing bridge. Stayed for a couple glasses of wine and two dishes - fish and chips and cuttlefish. Both were decent for a light lunch while people watching. The bridge also swung open while we were there to let a ship pass.

There is also a cafe indoor for (pricey) sandwiches if you need something fast - or go check out Market on the Wharf across the bridge and down the boardwalk to your left.

When shopping at Canal Walk it is hard to find healthy food. Lots of fast food outlets at the food court but nothing quick and healthy. We decided to have sushi in desperation. It was not very good and my friend left half the seafood said concotion on the plate. Service was not very attentive and we couldn't wait to get out. It felt a bit scruffy.
