We had the most fantastic hike up at Lion's Head. Cliff was the best and most reliable guide, I was slightly nervous particularly about hiking the steeper part at the top but Cliff was so helpful and kind and my nerves quickly disappeared. We were able to enjoy the amazing views Cape Town has to offer! We highly recommend hiking with OTC adventures

Cliff was an absolutely FANTASTIC guide!!! I can not recommend him highly enough. I stumbled upon his services per a recommendation by our hotel (The Westin at Cape Town), and could not have been happier. My travel companion was a bit less adventurous than I, and not wanting to hike by myself in a foreign country, I knew a guide was my best option. I picked the Skeleton Gorge hike based on other reviews online. Don't get me wrong -- it was a tough hike! But the views and experience was well worth the toil. I would not recommend this hike for someone looking for a leisurely walk. As an active and a moderately experienced hiker myself, this was a perfect fit. Total time was roughly 4-1/2 hours, including travel time to and from the hotel, the trolley ride, and the hike itself.

So...Cliff asked if we would be ok to climb with staples and chains in a section of the trail. I said sure! Well, thanks to Cliff for pulling me up to get to the top of a 15 foot high rock. The staples were distanced far enough for my short legs and the chains were high to my reach. Whew! Cliff was calm and encouraging! What an accomplishment!
It took us 3.5 hrs to hike this trail but it was all fun. Cliff was entertaining, talked about the flora and fauna on the trail. Definitely, very experienced, personable guy! Thanks Cliff for a wonderful adventure!
