From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff here are a huge positive for the hotel, nothing was too much trouble for them! Frederick in particular helped us out throughout our stay and checked in with us every day to see how our travels were going. All the staff though were super friendly and seemed to genuinely care about their guests.
The rooms and guest areas are all immaculate and designed really well. The bar and reading nook are pretty neat. Cape Town has regular, planned power outages but the hotel deals with it really well. There were little tea light candles lighting the way to our room and a lantern/torch in our room.
Breakfast was great with a wide variety of foods on the buffet and tasty cooked to order meals. Dinners were also good - the set menu is such great value!
We hired the new mini convertible and it was a lot of fun! Take it for a spin down to the cape and you won't regret it! We also hired bikes one day and rode down along the waterfront to the Watershed and the V&A...easy, scenic and mostly flat ride. The public buses and hop-on-hop-off buses are all easy walking distance to the hotel.
Would definitely recommend this hotel! I'm sure I'll be back one day!More
