The hotel is very neat with nice interior. Friendly staff. It is a bit of a problem to find a spot to park prior to check in. The hotel is centrally located close to the green market square and the hip and happening Long street. They do not serve dinner but you can quickly walk over to Doppio Zero across the road and charge your dinner to you room. There is also a very good sushi bar just opposite the hotel (which unfortunately closes at 18h00) . Breakfast is acceptable. If you book in, request a room quite high up as the walkway infront of the hotel can be quite noisy after 12h00.

Dear dessertlily581
Thank you very much for your positive review of our hotel. Being a city centre hotel parking is sometimes a challenge however we do offer limited parking below the hotel and we have also rented parking in the building next door to us.
Our location within walking distance to many top restaurants in the city centre is certainly well favoured by our valued guests, like yourself.
I do hope that we have the opportunity to be of service to you again in the near future.
Kind Regards

A really good hotel centrally situated and with very friendly staff. I stayed 7 nights on the 8th floor and enjoyed my stay. It was just an enjoyable 15 mins leisure walk to CTICC, venue of the Congress I was in Cape Town for. My room was quiet and hotel as a whole serene in sharp contrast to the boisterous open market around. The breakfast room was a major plus with varieties to pick from.
The hotel need to change their signpost to a more conspicuous one. I also didn't like the limited free WiFi to 100MB daily.
I will recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a great 3* hotel in Cape Town.

Room Tip: Stay on the 8th floor.

The smiles of the reception staff is the first impression you

Get when you check in. The room is very nice and clean the breakfast is varied and tasty.
Again the reception staff were really exceptional. All my requests, questions etc. were replied and fulfilled instantly and I really felt that they wanted to help, to make our stay as Good as possible and they really cared for us.
I will gladly return to that hotel and in my view it is highly recommended.

Some Holiday Inn Express hotels are new hotels and offer very good value for money. This is not one of them. It is a run down, older hotel with outdated rooms. It is definitely in the middle of the pack or towards the lower end of the pack in terms of quality when it comes to Holiday Inn Express hotels. It is located in the centre of Cape Town, which is convenient if you are catching trains or want to see a bit of the city, but definitely out of the 'tourist' zone around the waterfront. Reasonably good value for money, but nothing to write home about. We would use it again for its location as we were catching Rovos Rail from the train station, but if we did not need to be in the neighbourhood, we would not choose to stay at this hotel. We would choose something closer to the waterfront.

Dear TravelOften1968
Many thanks for taking the time to complete a review of our hotel during your recent stay with us. My apologies that we failed to meet your standard that you required. Our location to the Company Gardens, the Hop-on-Hop-off bus stop, many Museums and Art Galleries are certainly favoured by most of our leisure guests and our ease of access to many corporate offices and government offices appeals to our business travellers.
Once again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your comments with us. We know you have many choices when it comes to lodging and we hope you will continue to choose Holiday Inn Express for your future travel needs.
Kind Regards

Stayed two nights recently.Location in town is very good. Close to open market shopping and the Hop on Hop off location. Short cab ride or 30 minute walk to V&A.
Breakfast was above normal for an HI Express property. Excellent variety and taste. Meticulously maintained.
Room was relatively quiet in spite of being downtown. Good view of Lion Head and table mtn. Would have appreciated a fridge in the room. Close to multiple restaurants to satisfy any craving.
Finding the front door is difficult since it opens into the walking mall and is in the middle of the block. Additional signage would be appropriate. There is a one way entrance road on the walking mall from longmarket street that even the cab driver had difficulty finding since the map implies it is closer to Church street.
The morning clerk at 4 a.m. was sleepy and not as astute as the day staff. The Hotel shuttle to the airport that early was convenient, professional, comfortable and competitively priced to a cab. Not sure if it was actually their shuttle but ask about it before booking a cab.
Recommended to you and would stay again without hesitation

Room Tip: We liked the view of Table Mtn and Lion head (around the neighboring buildings)
