We (including our family members) wouldn't be lying if we said that THIS WAS one among the TWO BEST BUFFETS on our Trip to South Africa. It was GRAND, and had everything for everyone (including Vegetarians).

The staff takes extra care of you and your needs and go out of their way to provide you anything within their means to fulfill your demand (even if its not included in the spread).

We especially loved different types of beef sausages and cured hams, vegetarian fare, sushi and oysters....but what was a hit were the Muffins and Jam Croissants.

The restaurant is nice in that they have both outside and inside seating. The outside seating on a lovely sunny day is lovely because it is looking over the harbour and Table Mountain. The breakfast buffet was impressive with oysters, salmon roulade, bakery and a warm crepes station. There were also various hot food to choose from. The scrambled eggs were delicious. Miso soup was too salty. Oysters were so creamy. They had a fresh fruit station with loads of freshly made yogurt of different flavours as well. Waitress was a bit anal.

Banting experience. Chef Jocelyn Myers really made the meal an experience. The most amazing salads. Great "bread" rolls sans carbs! Main meal amazing! And wait for it ..... The pud table. Congratulations !

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet over four mornings during our stay in Cape Town. While we normally like to venture away from the hotel for breakfast, we found the variety on offer allowed us to have a different experience every morning. The restaurant is busy and you may have limited table options. One of the delights is to sit outside on a warm clear morning with Table Mountain in the background - great photo opportunity. The staff were attentive to our needs and the service was very good.

We are loyal supporters of both the Table Bay Hotel and their Atlantic Grill Room. We are always recommending the normally fabulous buffet breakfast at their Atlantic Grill room. We also urge our friends from Europe to stay at the Table Bay hotel and to do the breakfast. Great was our disappointment when we invited guests and clients for breakfast at 10h00 earlier this week. The breakfast buffet only closes at 11h00 and with a full hour to go several of the dishes like the sushi, the salmon , the cold meats, the pickled white fish and few more where mostly empty. These plates where not topped-up or refilled. The warm dishes was watery and the bacon looked and tasted as if it was cooked. No manager ever visited the table to ask if everything was ok. The buffet looked and felt like a party that finished the night before. It looked and felt like the staff , and the odd chef, who inspected the buffet was more ready to "pack up" than dish-up. The normal variety and flair that you expect from an establishment like this is just gone. We called and booked in advance .
