It was a birthday lunch so we wanted special!
The Restuarant is comfortable with beautiful sea views from every window.
The fillet steak was fantastic but the Prawn stroganoff was not up to scratch.
The wine “book” is extensive & prices are on the steep side as to be expected at a hotel. Service was excellent & it remains a fav spot!

What a beautiful restaurant - great food - excellent service and views of the ocean with the most spectacular sunset. We had a meal here to celebrate my 50th Birthday and it did not disappoint. The chef send out a beautiful birthday desert - a really nice touch to end what had already been a fantastic meal. This place is simply wonderful and the staff are excellent.

We attended azure for dinner. We booked a table but arrived early so were shown up to the cheetah lounge for drinks. This was great they have a little balcony that you can sit and look out over the ocean.
Sunset offers stunning views.

The cheetah bar was busy so it was difficult to get amazing service.

We went downstairs for dinner. We were a little disappointed that we had booked a table but weren't given great window seats, when there were some free.

We had the chefs recommendation for the tapas menu. It was delicious.
We received a complimentary salmon entree, as well as chicken livers (i know I wasn't keen to try it but it was nice) and prawn brusque? As well as a lamb and a venison main. We also received dessert.

All food was amazing!!

The wine list is extensive!

The service here was outstanding. I cannot recall our waiters name but he was excellent.

It is pricey - but I feel you probably know that before you come to a place like this.

Great setting, great decor and ambiance, excellent menu, vast and varied wine list, friendly service, very good food, high prices, so should rate as excellent overall, but it just lacked that final flourish and was slightly disappointing, albeit I had very high expectations. My final judgement is always based on: was it a memorable visit? Sadly the answer was no. Interesting to ready other reviews - this restaurant seems to be very erratic and should aim to be consistently excellent.

We arrived for dinner yesterday evening and were greeted at the entrance by a smartly uniformed employee who quickly parked our car.

We proceeded to the Leopard bar for cocktails where a young lady vocalist was entertaining the drinkers. The view of the Atlantic and Lion's Head is spectacular.

Dinner commenced with tuna for me & a very light chicken noodle soup for Mel.

My Cape Malay chicken and prawn curry was superb accompanied by the lightest rice & lovely sambals. Mel enjoyed a perfectly cooked fillet steak.

We finished with a dessert selection platter and chef kindly prepared a vegan selection for me as I'm lactose intolerant.

Our wine was a light and fruity Thelema Pinot Noir from the Elgin valley.

Altogether a very special evening at a reasonable price.
