Tucked away off the main drag in Camps Bay, initial impression is that this is an average place to eat. Busy, tables close together and quite noisy, but you go here to sample some of the best seafood on offer in and around Cape Town. There are no menus, the waiter/waitress take you to the display cabinet to choose from the selection of shellfish or fish which is amazing to look at. Your choices are weighed and priced. The selection includes large crayfish, langoustines, prawns, scallops as well as a great choice of fish. Be careful, if you choose the large crayfish, they are very very pricey BUT delicious and worth it for a special treat! The quality was extremely good and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. You need to book in advance for a table although they do also have a walk in sushi bar. just watch the prices, but well worth a visit!

Recommended by friends back in the UK and was very glad we'd booked in advance before leaving for South Africa.
A warm welcome upon arrival with food that surpasses. No menu just a large fish counter where you choose a selection of fish and cooked to perfection.
Location just off the main road and a low key interior but will definitely return.

We visited here on the strength of a recommendation and were not disappointed. Fresh fish is laid out a la market stall, and sold by the ounce. You make your choice(s) and the fish is then freshly cooked and served with stir fry veg and rice or potato wedges.

We chose crayfish, kingclip, butterfish, bluenose and yellowtail and had a few ounces of each. All were very good but the butterfish was outstanding. A simple concept served up in a typically friendly way. Really enjoyed it
