The title says it all really.
Its abit pricy, but for an extra special dinner, its definately where you want to go.

We went here 2-3 times during our trip and really enjoyed the fish, the atmosphere and the service. THe Calamari is really good, as is the sushi.
We eat here on our first night in Cape Town and had a really fantastic experience! We tried sushi and had a selection of seafood to follow. The lobster was absolutely outstanding! It was obvious that the fish is all very fresh and there seemed to be a great selection at very reasonable prices. Everyone made us feel very welcome and looked after :) I would highly recommend the Cod Father to anyone!
The Codfather was excellent! It was very fun and unique to go up to the counter to view all the pieces of fish and then tell the kitchen just how big to cut the fish for your serving. We had the butterfish, kingklip, dorado (mahi mahi), and prawns, and each piece was delicious! We finished with Malva pudding which we had never had before, but after that dessert ordered it whenever we could.
The ambiance was nice, and the staff was very attentive - if we ever looked up in need, someone was there within seconds. This restaurant was recommended to us and with only two dinners in Cape Town, we are glad we made this one of them. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great seafood at an equally great price.
This is closer than you think from Cape Town proper by Uber, about $6-8 each way from the Waterfront area. Ask for the table in the corner closest to the ocean and be sure to arrive at sunset for a beautiful view. There are four sauces on the table to enjoy with your selection of lobster, langostino, shrimp, and fish at a counter where your selections are weighed and you are given the price for the food, then grilled and served. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were also fresh and delicious. It was not inexpensive but great value for the price. There were many South African wine by glass choices. We walked the street on Camp's Bay thereafter, had ice cream at Addictions, recommended by our server, but other than good ice cream, nothing was open in the Promenade shopping mall where Addictions was located, and we found little to see and beggars and street vendors bothersome. Come here for the great food and leave Camp's Bay after dark.
