the rides are good, where the whole family can participate. but it would be better to have more kind of rides as it becomes a bit repetitive after 2 rides
Lots of fun, safe and you can control your speed.Make a day out of it with your kids and dad can steer with the little one between his legs
We spent a couple of hours there on our December holiday. We bought the Happy Family Combo, worked well for us, 10 year old went by himself and my husband and I took turns to go with our 6 year old. It wasn't very busy on the day we went so we never stood in a long queue to ride. Was good fun, the operators should just be a little more patient with first time riders and keep in mind that first timers might not go as fast as the rest of the people. It was brought under their attention. Fun outing!
Visited with 2 teenagers, who both have a keen sense of adventure. They found this activity very boring. And hopelessly over priced. We only stayed for 2 rides each and left. Staff at kiosk not very helpful either.
Surprised about your comment as I believe that R25.00 for one ride when you share a "Happy Family Combo' ticket is not expensive at all. And should there be leftover rides than you can even keep it and use them next time as they do not expire!
Luckily most of our other reviews enjoyed our 1.25km long track with 13 bends & 2 S-bends, a tunnel as well as an area where you are airborn for a milli second! If you were not happy with our staff, you should have asked for the Operations Manager, who gladly would have assisted you.
We took our nine year old nephew and met some friends with a 3 year old at the facility. We read the online reviews that advised coming early. We arrived just after ten during the New Year school holidays and it was still cool and there were no lines. By 11 AM there were short lines at the entrance but you had to wait at the top to ride down. By 11:30 AM there were long lines and it was very hot as the track is in sun light. (They do use borehole water to keep the facility grassy.)
The facility is very clean and there are large picnic tables covered by sail cloth that are very shady. There is a bar and a snack stand selling hot dogs and bratwurst type food, so you can't bring outside food or drink in.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Buying the family package that gets you 18 tokens is a good deal for Rand 25 per ride. But for two female adults 4 rides was enough and my nephew who couldn't get enough couldn't use all the token because the lines got so long. But we can come back again to use them up.
I was nervous as I'm afraid of heights, but you can control your speedy easily, except when people behind you go fast they ask you to speed up. Avoid having young boys riding behind you by themselves as they will not respect the 25 meter distance between toboggans and bump you. I refused to get into toboggans unless there was an adult behind me after being bumped.
Bottomline--super for kids, especially boys. Adults will find it fun for a few rides but eventually get bored.
