Great location for a short stay in order to visit the Pilansberg National Park. You have to request crockery etc if you want to braai in the evening. Nice clean swimming pool and everything in our chalet worked well. Friendly and efficient restaurant staff.

During our three nights' stay, one day (Thursday about 09:00 h to departure) we had NO WATER AT ALL! Nobody informed us or offered a discount or a bucket or any kind of compensation … No shower, no toilet flushing, no washing of hands, no teeth brushing, no tea brewing (didn't get new teabags on Thursday anyway …). As to our understanding, the Municipality must have cut off the water supply because of non-payment of municipal fees … because the car wash at the entrance to Manyane had plenty of water … We had to hope for the toilets in the Park …

Run-down place in dire need of renovation.

Incompetent reception - had to wait till 14:00 h for our chalet allocation for 3 hours THOUGH our room had been "cleaned", had not been used the night(s) before. „Sticking to the rules, to the disadvantage of the guest“.

A badly cracked window pane (same room 5B allocated in 2019) was still without repair. - Walkways (paved) from parking area to chalets had neither been swept nor weeded for weeks. Spider webs in room, ice water flask (in fridge) half empty and unclean, freezer compartment with thick crust of ice. Mattresses smelly and should be urgently renewed. Built-in safe was locked on arrival, had to call housekeeping to get it opened (standard) - leaflet on how to use was inside locked safe!

The gardener we saw (Wednesday) used plenty of water for the bare ground to the left of the reception / entrance), but before had scratched away the very last bits of green grass there (good rains, good rainy season),

Black mould in the tiled shower! Upholstery (chairs) spotty, have not been cleaned for ages, if ever, curtains not hanging properly in curtain rails … Patio furniture (one white plastic chair, not two, white table) was stark dirty on arrival. No floor or other cleaning (but for emptying waste bin, preparing bedding) at all on Thursday. Warning: "Dry mop blocking paved footwalk"!

Aircon: On/Off-switch not so easy to find, exists nevertheless on other wall, between the twin beds) No A/C remote. If you want to change A/C settings, you must be adventurous: Find switches on A/C about 2.5 m above floor - climb on patio table (won't support anybody above 30kgs) or try not to break through upholstered seat or … just leave it alone.

Linnen and towels were clean.

Restaurant: Okay, but no stars, never. Several very friendly waiters/waitresses, helpful! Restaurant manager did not use his mask (COVID) regularly, "intermittently" only. Booking same table for the next eve

We truly enjoyed our time and visit with the resort. Staff were friendly and they truly went the extra mile to assist us in every way. Bathrooms were kept clean and tidy at all times. However, I hope that Mr SF Kgodumi can table the full restoration of the day visitors area together with the aviary at the next board meeting, since this area is completely dilapidated.

We have really tried everything now. But it really seems that the staff at Manyane and Golden Leopard Resorts really do not seem to care...

We have stayed at different resorts in and around Pilanesberg for years now. The service has however very much declined. Making a successful booking seems to be nearly impossible. We enquire and enquire and enquire. We however have to wait weeks on end to get responses. Specifically from a lady called Ingrid. Ingrid responds to mails every month or so.

We have been trying to arrange our holiday for months now. We have even been forced to use agencies, at great costs, as we receive no feedback.

We booked a few weeks of stay in different resorts around Pilanesberg, as we always do. We tried to make a booking at Manyane for 13 Dec - 17 Dec. We always book at least one week at Manyane. In June we were told that all the self-catering chalets had been booked. This seemed very strange, but we accepted it...

In July we were informed that Safari Tents had one tent available for that week. We quickly booked and paid for this site. We are however flying in my mother from Cape Town. She arrives this Saturday. We obviously want to take het with. We contacted GoeldenLeopard. We spoke to a lovely lady who said we can put a matrass on the floor in the Safari Tent so that my mom can sleep on the bed and we can sleep in the tent. This was as near as perfect as we could get.

Then we attempted to change the dates so that we can be there from 13 Dec - 20 Dec. Just three days extra. We were told that would not be possible. We were then also informed that my mom will not be able to share the tent with myself nd my husband.

We have been looking forward for months now! We are however constantly informed of bad news. That is when we receive any feedback at all...

Then a friend of ours recently told us that they recently booked a self-catering chalet at Manyane. We could not believe it! We spent so much time and money investing in this holiday. We were told there is no chalets left. And Ingrid NEVER responds to emails!

My mom is here in five days. She struggles to move around and lives in a High Care Facility. It is already a huge deal that she is able to come here at all. Now we hear that there are units available! Why are we being discriminated against?!?!

Is that you want to keep the gays away from the public eye???????

I cannot believe the level of service we are receiving. I feel like taking this matter to the Ombudsman, to all platforms of social media and further.

The only thing that makes my family different is that we are GAY!

We are therefore forced to believe that the only reason we are not provided with a chalet from 13 - 20 Dec. I do not believe that we cannot be accommodated. If no one is therefore answering us then they must have something against us?

I am highly disgusted and expect urgent feedback!

we know there was load shedding but to be with out power for 20 hours,meat went off,nobody let us know so than plans can be made. going at knight to the ablution was pitch black no back up lights,it feld very dangeruos. there is so many products on the market for solar or battery operated lights. at least for ablution blocks.

Overall a reasonably well run resort, however the ablutions need desperate attention and the funds spent of blowing leaves with a noisy petrol blower at 07h00 in the mornings could be better spent on general maintenance and plumbing.,
