Thea von Plaster and her team really went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was delicious and the room beautiful. We got sick during our stay and Thea even came out to bring us medication at 2:00am. I will recommend this guest house to anyone and be sure to visit again!

Not only is it a beautiful hotel, well maintained, but the staff is friendly and helpful! Really they made our stay even better with their attention to our needs. They anticipated our needs and always had a smile on their faces.

Had 4 nights package with heritage tours, and stayed at heritage guest house.
Very nice place to stay, comfortable rooms and beautiful terrace for breakfast.
Free sweets and fruits make you feel welcomed when you’re coming back from safari. Manager Thea is always a phone call away if you need anything, doesn’t matter if it’s day or night.

We booked a 3 day safari package through heritage tours, staying @heritage house. Thea made us extremely welcome. the rooms were comfortable, wifi good, lovely breakfast (though we were usually in a rush to go somewhere or do something to truly appreciate it) and we all said it was a pity we couldn't spend more time there to relax but alas we had to go and do the safaris!
When you're there don't forget to get the Date Ball recipe - the are very moreish!
Would love to go back again sometime.

We stayed three nights as part of a package with Heritage Tours.

The guest house was very pleasant, although sadly the weather was too cool to enjoy the pool.

Breakfast is served on the verandah behind the house overlooking the pool, with cooked bacon, sausages, beans and hash browns on offer and eggs cooked to order.
The second morning we were there one of the maids was on duty with a slingshot to keep off the monkeys from raiding the breakfast tables!

The free Internet was as good as anywhere we stayed in South Africa.

The main street with restaurants and shops is a conveniently short walk from the guest house. St Lucia is very safe compared to other parts of South Africa where we stayed, and we never felt threatened once.

We were told to be careful of the hippos that walk the streets of St Lucia, but sadly they only came the first night when we were so tired we went straight to bed. So we didn't get to see them ourselves (although other people staying at the house did).

There is also a friendly cat living in the communal parts of the guest house, who will demand pats and to come in and out of the house when you do.
