Good location, clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. Wonderful to return to after a hot, long day - a cool, calm oasis. Staff very friendly and helpful. Suzette could not have been better.
Many thanks

What a splendid trip from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Everything was well organised and all guides well informed and go out of their way for you to see as many animals as possible .The food is great !Everything exceeded expectations .Heritage house is nice and central so gives you a chance to enjoy the city in between activities.

We stayed as an adult family of 3 in mid December. It is well situated, one block from main street and restaurants, craft shops, ec. Our rooms were spacious and well appointed. @ Heritage House provides all the facilities you could ask for on a short stay - a very comfortable lounge area, lovely breakfast/ dining area overlooking a small pool and lovely gardens. Our breakfasts and 2 evening meals were included- lovely home fare. Guests are also provided with complimentary snacks ie fruit, muffins, chocolates, date balls, etc and wine. Beer along with other drinks were available for purchase via "honour system" - just settle account on check out. Suzette and staff were helpful and friendly. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Room tip: Rooms 1-4 were in main house whilst room 5 was accessed via garden area near pool.

Clean, comfortable and an excellent place to return to after a day on safari. Out only gripe is that the shower was either boiling or freezing with no way of controlling the temperature. Move the lever 1mm too far and it suddenly went cold. Then you had to start all over again.

I booked a one night package on short notice. It proved a bit challenging to coordinate game drives, boat drives and accommodation as I was asked to call Heritage House to book the accommodation and Heritage Tours for the other activities even though Heritage House was giving a free boat cruise with a stay in November. This necessitated several calls back and forth and was not the seamless experience that the website suggested. However, everyone was very helpful, and once booked all the arrangements were fine. They were even able to arrange a transfer from Durban Airport and then agreed to take me to Sodwana. A protest march meant that I had to be spirited through via a private exit through the National Park. I was very pleased to have booked the transfer and not to be driving!

Heritage House is a high end B&B that seems fairly newly built. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. The bed was super comfy. The shower is the biggest I have been in--as big as a sauna. There is plenty of hot water. WIFI is free but was so slow I used my phone data to access the Internet. There is cable TV but most of the international news channels are not part of the subscription.

You can help yourself to muffins, homemade date balls, free bottled water and tea and coffee during the day. The breakfast is the standard yoghurt, cereals, toast and eggs. Okay but not exceptional. The booking form for the room asked if I wanted dinner and I indicated I did only to find out that this option is only available if you stay a minimum of 3 nights. Something they need to fix on their website booking form. But the accommodation is steps from the main street with several restaurants where you can get something (reasonably healthy) to eat.

The location is quiet yet central and Suzette, the manageress, runs a tight ship and will ensure you are not a minute late for your safari or transfers. The property is very clean.

The boat cruise is wonderful and the guides for the safaris were excellent as well.
