Truly Amazing and Highly Recommended to everyone.

Review of St. Lucia Wilds
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 05 Apr 2023
Very Clean. Excellent personal service. Beautiful garden and setting. Walking distance from iGwalaGwala Forest. Wished we could stay longer. Everybody went over and above our expectations to make our stay amazing.

iGwalaGwala forest is walking distance away from the accommodation. It is very good for birdlife e.g. Livingstone's Turaco, Blue-Mantled Crested Flycatcher and Crested Guineafowl.

The estuary is a must for birders- African Skimmers, Many species of tern e.g. Lesser-Crested, Caspian, Common etc. African Black Oystercatcher, Palm-Nut Vulture, Goliath Heron and Much More. Blue-Cheeked Bee-eaters are plentiful on the beach.

Eastern Shores is a must visit for everyone. It is home to all the Big 5, except lion. A lot of the loops off the main road are either blocked by fallen trees, or flooded by water, so you might have to turn around there, but its still worth the visit. Birds on the eastern shores include African Finfoot (at the hide at iBoma Pan), European Rollers, Many Herons and Storks including Squacco Heron, many Egrets and Storks such as Marabou and Woolly-necked.
In our two day stay (3rd and 4th of April 2023), we managed to see around 74 bird species (From the Eastern Shores, iGwalaGwala Forest and the beach and Estuary.)

Rooms: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Location: 5/5

Safety: Very Safe.
Walkability: iGwalaGwala forest is good. Don't walk in the forest before sunrise or after
sunset as the hippos are out in the dark.
Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value
Date of stay: April 2023
Room Tip: Do iGwalaGwala Forest, Drive to Cape Vidal along the Eastern Shores Road, Stop off and look at...

Nothing was to much for the really nice owners!!! One night the owner knocked on our door to let us know there were hippo’s in the garden and he carefully showed us the 2 🦛 .
I stayed there during the riots and looting in KZN and the owners made me feel totally safe!

Apartment was big and very clean! Everything you needed was there and the wifi was very good.

Many thanks for everything they have done for me and my son! 🙏

The lodge was dated but clean. The people were very nice. Everything was in the house what you needed. There was also a swimmingpool. The nicest thing over there was the barbecue. We used it every evening

Great location, on the edge of st lucia town but still walking distance to shops and restaurants, Imelda was really helpful, good information before our visit and also was really accommodating about a late check in, when we were there she was always available to answer any questions. Clean accommodation and excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.
